POTATO

The business operates from The Yews ,Turley Green, Alveley, Bridgnorth , Shropshire. Originally the business was started with one Dutch barn and one lorry. Today we have over 10,000 square feet of insulated, thermostatically controlled warehousing to ensure that our potatoes are kept in premium condition for the chipping trade. We now operate seven lorries, four of which are 18 tonne, one 38 tonne and two 44 tonne, with fully trained drivers to ensure we can always deliver our potatoes to our customers in peak condition, as they left the farm. This includes double quilted jute frost blankets that are applied in severe cold weather during transit to minimise any chilling to the potatoes... We also have over 60 growers who have been dealing with our family business for over 45 years. During the early green top season which, is in June, July and August potatoes are purchased from our growers and checked on a daily basis.
