Anthony Silverman

Anthony has spent almost 25 years advising organisations on their strategic communications. In 2019 he and his partners launched a consultancy that advises a broad range of public and private companies on their reputation. Anthony and his family have been members of Highgate Shul for over twenty years. It is where he held his aufruf before marrying his wife Rachel, he was a warden at the Shul for a number of years and was on the shul Board (now Council) for over a decade.

Avi Adatto

Avi has many years' experience as an ISO administrator specialising in implementing and maintaining quality and environmental management systems. He has also worked as an art auction coordinator and as a property manager in California. He most recently served as the Education Coordinator at the JLE in Golders Green.

Natalie Smith

Natalie is a qualified solicitor who has worked for a number of City law and accountancy firms, moving to an in-house legal role 12 years ago. She has been a trustee of Resource, a service which supports and empowers the community in their job searches, and is also a volunteer advisor, offering one to one mentoring and advice to Resource clients. Natalie and her family have been involved with Highgate shul since they moved to Highgate Village in 2001. Her children have grown up with the community, celebrating their bar and bat mitzvot and other family occasions in the shul and she is delighted to be working with the Rabbi, Rebbetsen, the office team and all the other volunteers that help to make Highgate a special community.

Philip Sandzer

Rabbi Liss

Rabbi Liss is also active in the wider community acting as the Rabbinic Advisor to the Imperial War Museum, as the Rabbinic Advisor to the Sir Martin Gilbert Learning Centre, and as the Rabbi of Shalom Noam Primary School. As an avid cricket fan, he plays for the synagogue team, has represented the Archbishop of Canterbury's First XI and most recently joined the Heaven Help Us Cricket Club which formulated the important Unity Statement that was signed on the pitch during a Test Match at Lord's in June 2022. Rabbi Liss read Chemistry at UCL and in 2018 completed both a Master's degree in Leadership at the UCL Institute of Education, which he passed with distinction, and professional mediator training at the London School of Mediation.

Rabbi Nicky Liss

In addition to his work at Highgate, Rabbi Liss was recently appointed by the United Synagogue as Director of its newly formed Centre of Rabbinic Excellence having served as Chair of the Rabbinical Council for five years (2016-21) and as the Rabbinic lead for the United Synagogue's Covid response team.

Rebbetzen Shuli Liss

Rebbetzen Shuli Liss was born and raised in London and is a graduate of University College London, where she achieved a first-class degree in Maths and Computer Science. Growing up, Shuli loved to be involved in youth work and served as a youth leader over a number of years for Ezra Youth Movement. Whilst living in Israel, she worked as a computer programmer for a start-up firm in Beit Shemesh.
