I joined Kingfisher on Reception in January 2022 and I really enjoy working here.
Previously I worked at Ferne Animal Sanctuary for 7 years. I was head of cattery and took home 2 cats that I still have today.
I have qualified as a fitness instructor and makeup artist since then but I chose to come back to working with animals which I love.

I qualified from Bristol University in 2005 with a BSc Hons in Veterinary Nursing and Practice Administration. I have enjoyed working in first opinion and referral practices and I have been lucky to spend some time working abroad in Kenya and India.
I enjoy the varied nature of being a Veterinary Nurse and all the challenges that it brings. I get great satisfaction in helping our patients to recover from illness and surgery. In my role, I am continually looking at improving the service we offer to our patients and clients so we can provide the best possible care.

I qualified as a nurse in 1988 and have worked in both small and large animal practices for over 30 years. I joined Kingfisher in 2014 where I had been Crewkerne's Head nurse until I moved into the Practice Manager role in 2021.
Outside work I enjoy spending time with my family, going for walks in the countryside and a good pub lunch! As well as going away in our caravan exploring the UK. At home we have a collection of ponies, chickens, cats and a dog.
