Dr Grafton trained at Nottingham Medical School and qualified in 1988. He is married with three children. He joined the practice in 2001 and works part-time, having previously been a full-time General Practitioner for six years in Hertfordshire. His interests include ischemic heart disease, asthma and tropical medicine having spent two years working in Africa. he is the F2 tutor.
Dr Ben Harris trained at Manchester University and qualified in 2000. He joined the practice in 2013 working two days a week and enjoys all aspects of General Practice. Ben spends his other days looking after his family and is a keen athlete.
Dr David Donkin joined the practice in April 2021. He trained at Sheffield Medical School and qualified in 2012. He has interest in GP Training and enjoys sports in the his spare time. He oversees the medical students at the practice.
Dr Turner trained at Birmingham Medical School and qualified in 2010. She joined the practice in 2015 working three days a week. She has interests in all aspects of general practice, in particular women's health.
Dr Evans qualified in August 2021 and joined the practice in September 2021.
Dr Thorman trained at Sheffield Medical School and qualified in 1994. He joined the practice in 1998. He is interested in mental health problems and runs the diabetic clinic. He is also a General Practitioner Tutor, taking medical students from Sheffield University as well as Foundation Level 2 doctors.
Dr Ullah joined the Practice in August 2015 although she originally did her GP Registrar training with the Practice in 2005. She has special interests in Palliative Care, Learning Disabilities and works closely with the local care home.
Dr Yacomeni trained at Leicester Medical School and qualified in 2008. She joined the Practice in March 2018. She has a keen interest in Palliative Care and Sexual Health.
Dr Kazi worked at the practice as a locum GP and joined us a Salaried GP Partner in November 2019. Dr Kazi trained at Liverpool Medical School. He is a keen Hockey and Cricket player. Dr Kazi is a GP Trainee tutor.
Becky is the IT Lead for the Practice, PA to the Practice manager and care co ordinator
Physician associates are healthcare professionals with a generalist medical education, who work alongside doctors providing medical care as an integral part of the multidisciplinary team. Physician associates are dependent practitioners who work under the supervision of a fully trained and experienced doctor. They bring new talent and add to the skill mix within teams, providing a stable, generalist section of the workforce which can help ease the workforce pressures that primary care currently faces.
Our reception staff are your first point of contact with the practice. It is their job to help and guide you. All the information they receive is treated in the strictest confidence. Clinical pharmacists work in primary care as part of a multidisciplinary team in a patient facing role to clinically assess and treat patients using expert knowledge of medicines for specific disease areas. They work with and alongside the general practice team, taking responsibility for patients with chronic diseases and undertaking clinical medication reviews to proactively manage people with complex medication use, especially for the elderly, people in care homes and those with multiple conditions.
Social Prescribing Link Workers give people time and focus on what matters to the person as identified in their care and support plan. They connect people to community groups and agencies for practical and emotional support and offer a holistic approach to health and wellbeing, hence the name ‘social prescribing'. Social prescribing enables patients referred by general practice, pharmacies, multi-disciplinary teams, hospital discharge teams, allied health professionals, fire service, police, job centres, social care services, housing associations and voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) organisations get the right care for them. Link workers typically work with people over 6-12 contacts (including phone calls and face to face meetings) over a three-month period with a typical caseload of up to 250 people, depending on the complexity of people's needs.
