James Bennett

Mr. Bennett is a former senior executive in the energy industry with 30 years of industry, investing and banking experience. He currently serves on several boards and assists private equity firms with their energy investments. From 2013 to 2018 James served as President and CEO of SandRidge Energy Corporation, Inc (NYSE: SD) and as its Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer from 2011 to 2013. Prior to joining SandRidge, Mr. Bennett was Managing Director and Partner for White Deer Energy, an energy private equity fund focused on the exploration and production, oilfield service and equipment, and midstream sectors. Before joining White Deer Energy, Mr. Bennett was employed by GSO Capital Partners where he served in various capacities, including as its Managing Director. Mr. Bennett's other positions include CFO of Aquilex Services Corp, energy investment banker at Donaldson, Lufkin and Jenrette and analyst at NationsBank. Mr. Bennett graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with a major in Finance from Texas Tech University. Mr. Bennett is Chairman of the Board of IOG Resources, LLC, and a board member of Crown Eagle Energy LP. He has also served on the board of directors of Energy Alloys Inc., SandRidge Energy Corporation (NYSE: SD), Cheniere Energy Partners L.P. (NYSE: CQP), Tapstone Energy, Tellurian Inc. Jerry Wells has been on the board of directors at Kimray since 2013. He currently serves the board as Vice-Chairman and Chairman of the compensation committee. Jerry became the Senior Pastor of Together Church, aka Western Hills Church, in Oklahoma City in 1984. He resigned as Senior Pastor in 2022 and was named Pastor Emeritus. Because of his close association with the Hill family, Jerry has a unique understanding of the history, core values, and culture of Kimray. Because of his service at Together Church and to other organizations, he also brings a wealth of experience and understanding of what is necessary for personal and organizational success. Jerry has served the University of Central Oklahoma men's basketball program as their character coach since 2019. For over 30 years, he has been speaking on the importance of good character to high school and college basketball teams. He and his wife Saundra are the proud parents of 12 children and they have 11 grandchildren. Jerry graduated from Del City High School in Del City, Oklahoma, in 1973. He has his BA in religion from Oklahoma Baptist University where he played both basketball and baseball for four years. He earned his master's degree in divinity from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas. He has also done additional graduate study at Baylor University.

Kay Hill

Kay Hill is the daughter of Garman Kimmell who was the founder and President of Kimray for almost six decades. Kay served her father as his secretary and financial assistant for 35 years. In 1963, she married Tom Hill who serves as Board Chairman. Kay is the mother of three and grandmother of twenty, grateful for being a stay-at-home mom throughout their upbringing. She has traveled with her husband to 17 foreign countries on six continents to teach Character First principles and helped her husband author the book, Making Character First, published in 2010. Working closely with her father and husband for many years, she has a passion and vision for Kimray and a concern for the success of each team member.

Mike O'Neal

Dr. O'Neal is President Emeritus of Oklahoma Christian University (OC) where he served as the fifth President from 2002 to 2012, following a 26-year career as General Counsel, VP for Finance, and Vice Chancellor at Pepperdine University. Until 2018 he served as the first Chancellor of the University of Rwanda. He is an alumnus of OC and Harding University where he received his BA in Accounting and Business. A licensed attorney in California and Arkansas, he received his JD degree from Stanford University after serving as a U.S. Navy officer in Vietnam where he was awarded the Bronze Star. He scored 1st in Oklahoma and 17th in the nation on the CPA examination, and worked with the accounting firms Ernst & Ernst, Touche, Ross & Co, and Coopers & Lybrand. Dr. O'Neal has been a member of the California and Arkansas Bar Associations, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Oklahoma and Arkansas Boards of Public Accountancy, and Rotary Club 29 in Oklahoma City. He has served on numerous boards including Kimray, Mercy Hospital of Oklahoma City (chair), Salt and Light Leadership Training (founding chair), Rwanda Presidential Advisory Council, Ohio Valley University, Greater Oklahoma City Chamber of Commerce, The Christian Chronicle, Oklahoma Council of Public Affairs, California Christian School, ACE Educational Foundation, Bioenergy Capital Corporation, Bridge-2-Rwanda, Water Access Rwanda, Heritage 21 Foundation (chair), Last Frontier Council of Boy Scouts of America, United Way of Greater Oklahoma City, Baxter Institute in Honduras, and Shepherds Hill International (chair). Dr. O'Neal and his wife Nancy are members of the churches of Christ where Dr. O'Neal has served as an elder, Bible class teacher, song leader, preacher, vocational missionary, ministry leader, and building committee chair. They have two children and six grandsons.

Tom Hill is Chairman Emeritus for Kimray, where he continues serving as a board member. Tom began his career at Kimray in 1971 as an applications engineer and retired as CEO in 2015. Through his leadership, Kimray strengthened its culture of character and integrity-a hallmark of the company since its founding in 1948. In 1992, Tom Hill created a program known as Character First that educates and trains businesses, schools, and families on implementing character in daily life. Hundreds of communities around the world have implemented the program. You can read more about this journey in Tom Hill's book, Making Character First. Tom Hill served seven years in the United States Marine Corps before earning a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from Oklahoma State University. He holds a patent for Integration of Fluid Dilution Curves, a method of determining blood flow using thermo dilution and electrical analysis of the thermo dilution curve. He has been awarded the NASBA Center for the Public Trust "Being a Difference" Award, the CBMC Salt and Light Award, and received an Honorary Doctor of Laws from Oklahoma Christian University. Thomas Hill III is Chief Executive Officer of Kimray. As the grandson of Kimray's founder, Garman Kimmell, Thomas grew up around Kimray. He has worked at the company in virtually every department, giving him an intimate knowledge of the processes and people involved from start to finish. Thomas manages the family-owned company with a sense of stewardship and heritage. Thomas is also author of the book Recovering Leadership: Musings of an Addict Leader where he shares his personal story of advancing in leadership at Kimray, spinning out of control, and the long and difficult road of recovery that transformed his life and leadership. He also writes weekly "Monday Musings" on various leadership topics. Thomas currently serves on the boards of Salt and Light Leadership Training, Hope Is Alive, and Hough Ear Institute. Thomas and his wife, Rebecca, both received their degrees from Oklahoma State University. They have been married more than 35 years and have six children.
