Amy Malone

Amy joined the firm in 2022 and became a Trainee Solicitor in 2023. Amy is currently working in both our Family and Guardianship departments as well as preparing Wills and Powers of Attorney. Amy has a particular interest in Child Law. Amy graduated from the University of Aberdeen in 2022. She then completed her DPLP at Robert Gordon University.

Carol Reid

Job Titles:

Carol joined the firm in 1994 and became a partner in 1998. As the partner in charge of the firm's Conveyancing Department, Carol oversees all work in connection with the purchase and sale of property, transfers of title and mortgage discharges as well as Wills and Powers of Attorney. She has over thirty years of experience in those fields after graduating from Edinburgh University in 1984.

Danielle McLuckie

Danielle became a member of KW Law in April 2022, initially serving as a Paralegal before embarking on her Conveyancing Traineeship in August of the same year. Preceding her tenure at KW Law, Danielle attained her Scots and English LLB, along with a Diploma in Professional Legal Studies from Strathclyde University. Additionally, she possesses a decade of experience in the property sector, having worked with a prominent national estate agency.

Debbie Fleming

Deborah joined the firm in 2002 and progressed through various roles while undertaking her legal studies. Deborah qualified in 2013 after completing her Diploma in Legal Practice at Edinburgh University. She became an associate in 2015 and then a partner in April 2017. Deborah is based at our branch office in Bathgate and deals with family and child law, including divorce, financial separation, contact, step-parent adoptions and interdicts. She also deals with private client work, including Executries, Wills and Power of Attorney.

Gillian Reilly

Jillian McLaughlan

Jillian joined the firm in 2012 as a part time receptionist. She graduated from Napier University having studied 4 years of BA Law (Hons). Jillian progressed to work as a legal secretary while she undertook studies with CLT Scotland with the University of Strathclyde in relation to her current role as a Civil Court Paralegal. Jillian qualified as an Accredited Family Law Paralegal in 2016. Jillian is based at our branch office in Bathgate and deals with family and child law, including divorce, contact, step-parent adoptions, actions for Deprivation of Parental Rights and Responsibilities, interdict and Power of Arrests.

Kathryn Paton

Kathryn is based in our Bathgate office having joined the firm in 2021 initially as a Family Law Paralegal before undertaking her traineeship. Kathryn specialises in family and child law, including divorce, financial separation, residence, contact and interdict. She also deals with private client work including executries, wills and powers of attorney. Kathryn's career as a solicitor commenced at KW Law having undertaken her degree and diploma in professional legal practice at Robert Gordon University. She qualified as a solicitor in 2023.

Katie Gray

Katie is a Second Year Trainee in KW Law's Civil Department. She embarked on her legal journey by graduating with an HND in Legal Services, completing a BA in Law and Management and further honed her expertise graduating with a LLB and DPLP. As her educational background suggests, Katie has dedicated several years to her studies and is due to complete her traineeship in May 2024. Katie's professional focus extends to civil litigation and family disputes, however she has previous experience in fields such as corporate property and residential conveyancing.

Kirsty Cargill

Kirsty joined the firm in 2006 and thereafter became an associate in 2009 and a partner of the firm in 2011. Kirsty's range of expertise covers all aspects of family and child law, including permanence orders and adoption. She also oversees the day to day running of business in the family department within our Livingston office. Kirsty is an experienced court practitioner having worked in West Lothian for a number of years. She is also a Safeguarder.

Robyn Gordon

Robyn joined the firm in 2021 as a civil paralegal. She had previously completed her LLB with Glasgow Caledonian University in 2020. Robyn thereafter completed her diploma with Robert Gordon University alongside working for the firm on a part time basis. She completed her diploma in 2023 and was offered a training contract with the firm for the civil litigation department. Robyn is currently in her first year of her training contract and is based primarily at the Livingston office.

Valerie Fosyth

Valerie is a graduate of Aberdeen University and was admitted as a solicitor in 1985. She has extensive experience in private practice working mainly in the field of Family Law. Previously a partner, Valerie is now a consultant to the firm with responsibility for overseeing the civil litigation department.
