Amy started working at Kessock a few years ago part time but now just covers some weekends when required due to other work commitments. She always enjoys meeting the horses that come in and helping to make their stay as comfortable as possible.
When Amy is not working, she is either looking after and riding her own horses or taking her Springer Spaniel, Patsy, for big walks.

Becca is one of our hard-working Stable Assistants and has an interest in lameness cases.
In addition to her work here, Becca is an experienced horse trainer and runs Ruthven Equestrian.

Caroline graduated from the Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies in Edinburgh in 2008. After a year in mixed practice, she joined the team at Kessock Equine Vets in 2009. She undertakes all aspects of first opinion equine work, but has a particular interest in equine dentistry, and has a Certificate in Advanced Veterinary Practice (Equine Dentistry). Caroline enjoys the ambulatory nature of equine practice, and meeting the same patients and owners each year during annual routine work.
Caroline grew up in Drumnadrochit, but now lives on the Black Isle with her husband and daughter. Outside of work, she is a very keen runner and cyclist, and can regularly be found running up hills and competing in hill races.
Amber graduated from the University of Glasgow in 2019, and was awarded the prize for Excellence in Equine Veterinary Practice. She joined a mixed practice in Dumfriesshire and spent her first year working with both companion animals and horses. She decided to pursue a focused equine career, returning to the University of Glasgow and completed a rotating internship at Glasgow Equine Hospital. Following this Amber relocated to the highlands, a long-term goal of hers, and has been working in equine first opinion practice in the area. As a veterinary student Amber visited Kessock Equine Vets for multiple weeks of placement, and is delighted to be back as part of the veterinary team!
Her free time is dedicated to her two dogs, Myrtle and Tonks. They are all addicted to the dog sports agility and canicross. She also has a rescue cat, McGonagall. Amber enjoys illustrating, juggling and gardening when she has a spare moment!
John is originally from Ayr and graduated from the University of Glasgow in 2003. He completed an equine internship and surgery residency in the USA and was awarded a PhD by North Carolina State University for research on the treatment of equine colic.
John is both an American and European Specialist in Equine Surgery.
In 2010, John returned to the University of Glasgow as a Senior University Clinician in Equine Surgery where he developed the lameness and diagnostic imaging services including objective lameness assessment and MRI. His research interests include kinematic lameness assessment, MRI and the treatment of orthopaedic disease.
John has joined us to launch Thistle Equine Referrals, which will cover Scotland and North of England. He will deliver advanced lameness and surgical services for referring veterinary surgeons, clients and horses. His clinical interests include sports medicine, orthopaedic surgery and diagnostic imaging.
Laura graduated from the Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies in Edinburgh in 2020. After graduation she moved to Yorkshire to carry out an internship in a busy equine referral hospital after which she spent the next couple of years working for an ambulatory equine practice. Laura enjoys the variety of work that comes with being on the road and has a special fondness of Native breed ponies.
Laura originally hails from the Orkney Islands and grew up in Moray so is looking forward to being back home on familiar ground. Outside of work, Laura and her family can be found being kept busy with their own Welsh ponies.
Natalia graduated from Olsztyn, Poland in 2014. Since then she has worked as a small animal vet for two years in Poland and in 2016 she worked as an intern at Dubai Equine Hospital. For the last 2 years she has been working in an equine clinic-based ambulatory practice near Manchester.
Natalia is particularly interested in Stud Medicine and Internal Medicine and has started the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons Advanced Practitioner Certificate in Internal Medicine.
In her free time, Natalia enjoys hiking with her husband, two Miniature Dachshunds - Joy and Cama (who also come with her to work), and a rescued cat Kurwica that came from Dubai. She hopes to do some Dressage and Eventing with her Arab/Friesian mare Negra. Her other interests are parrots, which she fosters, boardgames, and cinema.
I graduated from The Royal Veterinary College, London in 2019 and worked as an equine vet in Cornwall before joining Kessock Equine Vets in Dec 2020. I grew up between Scotland and Northern Ireland so it's lovely to be back!
During my studies I spent time at multiple equine hospitals and was an extern at Rossdales in Newmarket, and then Rood and Riddle Equine hospital in Kentucky. I am interested in all aspects of veterinary but particularly in geriatric horse care and performance investigations. I love getting out on the road meeting clients and often have my dog Winnie riding shotgun with me.
Stacey graduated from the University of Glasgow School Of Veterinary Medicine in 2025. Before beginning her veterinary studies, she spent two years in New Zealand working on a stud farm in North Canterbury alongside experienced vets. During this time, she discovered a passion for equine medicine, particularly reproduction and foal care.
Outside of work, Stacey enjoys horse riding, staying active at the gym and training in Muay Thai.
Sadb grew up in Ireland and graduated from The University of Veterinary Medicine, Budapest in February 2021. She began her career at Fethard Equine Hospital in Ireland before becoming a surgical intern at Hagyard Equine Medical Institute in Kentucky, USA. Following this Sadb spent 18 months at the R(D)SVS Equine Hospital at the University of Edinburgh before working in equine and small animal practice at home in Ireland. Sadb is now excited to return to practice in Scotland.
Sadb enjoys all aspects of equine practice and also has a bachelor's degree in equine science. Her main interests include mares and foals, surgery, lameness evaluations and emergency work. She grew up competing in showjumping, eventing and showing her Connemara pony. Sadb has also spent time working in thoroughbred studs around the world.
In her free time, she enjoys hiking with her two dogs, horse riding, skiing, cooking, reading, travelling and live music.

Krista joined Kessock Equine Vets in 2013 as one of our Stable Assistants and worked her way up to Stable Manager a couple of years later. Krista has always had a passion for Equine Nursing and wanted to pursue this career pathway and went on to gain her BTEC level 2 Diploma as an Equine Nursing Technician with distinction in 2016. Krista then went on to continue her studies with The Open College of Equine Studies in Suffolk and gained her qualification as a Registered Equine Veterinary Nurse in 2024.
Krista is very passionate about caring for her patients and has a keen interest in radiography and caring for the geriatric equine.
In her spare time, you will find Krista at home on her family farm looking after her own horses, flock of pedigree sheep and highland cattle. She also enjoys long walks with her dog Mac, running and mountain biking.

Lindsay joined the Kessock Equine Vets Office Team in August 2011.
In her spare time she enjoys riding her gorgeous horse Albi (pictured here). Lindsay and Albi enjoy show jumping and hacking and can be found taking part in local training events and (some) competitions.
She also enjoys spending time with her beautiful dogs Luna (Hungarian Vizsla) and Xena (Weimaraner) who also come to work with her and sleep under her desk most days.
Pippa has now relocated to Lochinver on the West Coast of Scotland. Although she is semi-retired, Pippa continues to care for our client's horses and ponies in that area.
Pippa originally joined the Kessock team in February 2010. Pippa graduated from Cambridge and did her specialist training with the Liverpool Veterinary Hospital, which is world-renowned for colic treatment. She then worked in an equine practice in Lancashire before moving north. She also holds a postgraduate certificate in Veterinary Radiology (CertVR).

Sandra joined Kessock Equine Vets in January 2009. Prior to that she ran a childminding business after working for 13 years in banking with the Clydesdale Bank.
In her spare time she enjoys socialising with family and friends, walking and gardening.
