LENDALES FARM

Lendales farm is situated in the vale of Pickering in North Yorkshire at the gateway to the North Yorkshire moors and within easy reach of coastal delights of Whitby, Robins Hood bay, Scarborough, Bridlington and Filey. The Yorkshire Moors are a magnet to country walkers who often use the steam railway that runs from Pickering to Grosmont to take them into the heart of the moors... Lendales is a busy family run farm consisting of a 120 head suckling herd (Not a dairy herd.) We run three of our own bulls with the herd in summer. The calves run with the cows from birth to about 6 months old. All the cows are wintered inside from the end of October until around the middle of May. We usually start calving in mid-March. As soon as the weather permits all the stock are turned out to grass. Visitors are able to see the cows and calves in the various fields around the farm.
