SPECTOR

I have been designing and making jewellery for the last twenty five years. My work combines both lapidary and silversmithing techniques. I work with a wide variety of gemstones, combining them with sterling and gold plated silver to create pieces that are often large, bold and sometimes dramatic... I source and select from producers and wholesalers all over the world, mostly from Peru, and I will cut, hand polish and finish many of the stones myself, in some cases forging or melting silver on to them... Maria Helena Spector designs and makes one of a kind or limited edition jewellery pieces using semi-precious gemstones and sterling silver, combining both lapidary and silversmithing techniques.
