Norbur Kennels was established by Norman Burke in 1960; Norman was a talented trainer who had been a dog-handler in the RAF and who earnestly believed that if a dog knows what is wanted of it, it will be confident and obedient - hence his assertion that 'a trained dog is a happy dog'
