MURCIA VILLAS - Key Persons
Chris Whent runs the Murcia Villas La Manga office specialising in Property Sales. Chris has been living in Murcia full time since 2007 with his wife Jane.
He and Jane set up and ran Murcia Villas La Torre before moving back to their own home in La Manga to run the La Manga office. With his honest and professional approach, Chris has taken property sales for the office in Los Belones from strength to strength with a record number of sales achieved this year despite difficult economic circumstances.
Prior to their move to Spain, Chris had a successful career with Nat West Bank, working from a number of their offices in the South of England and in particular he enjoyed his time working for the bank in the Channel Islands.
Starting out as an office junior in the main Southampton branch, his career then took him to Jersey where he carried out a variety of roles including foreign exchange dealing and share trading on behalf of corporate and personal clients of the bank. After a short spell back on the mainland he was seconded to Guernsey to expand his experience working alongside a Senior Manager.
Chris then gained promotions to become a Senior Personal Bank Manager working in the Portsmouth and Guildford areas. His last role with the bank, after a rewarding 28 year career, was as a fully qualified Financial Adviser.
Having fallen in love with the La Manga area, Chris and Jane bought a house in Playa Paraiso in 2002 and spent many a happy holiday there with family and friends before deciding to make the move to Spain permanently.
Chris enjoys keeping fit at the gym and cycling. He also has a passion for motorbikes and is a keen Southampton FC supporter.

Fiona is a graduate from Oxford Brookes University in Biology and Anthropology in 1992 with BSc HONS
Her career spans more than 30 years in Sales, Marketing and PR. She founded Murcia Villas SL together with husband, Hugh, and worked to bring the company from scratch to its current position as the number one name in sales and lettings in Murcia, expanding the business through Franchising in 2008.
Fiona started her career working in New Bond Street for PRIcoa: a large American Relocation company, assisting them with the purchase and sale of employee houses, and working on large corporate accounts such as Glaxo Welcome, Cadbury, Heinz and Chevron Oil. She was promoted to Account Manager for the Chemical Chase move, advising on allowances and assisting with accommodation needs for their employees' move to London.
In 1997 Fiona became an Area Manager for Hambro Countrywide, working solely on the MOD accommodation needs in the South West and managing a team of 8 employees.
A change of scene beckoned in 1999, when Fiona took a marketing position as project manager at ‘Taste of the West', where she pioneered the promotion of West Country-produced food and drink, one of the best known and most successful of the UK's food producing regions and championing the West Country Cooking Project, promoting food and beverage producers to the retail market including Tesco, Sainsburys and Somerfield. Her successes include Yeo Valley, Quickes Cheese, Tracklements, Denhay Farm Products, Riverford and Camel Valley Vineyards.
John King joined Murcia Villas in 2008 after moving to his new home in Balsicas from the South East of England.
John has over 30 years experience in Real Estate agency world having worked for a number of well established and renowned agencies in the UK.
John is ably assisted by Toñi and Santi in the Balsicas and Sucina offices. Both are bilingual in English and Spanish and very helpful and efficient.
In February 2010 Murcia Villas opened an office in Balsicas. The office is run by John King of Murcia Villas La Torre, together with Toñi and Santi his assistants.
