The NDGTC is recognised by the DfT, DVSA and SQA our members consists of approximately 80 nationally distributed training centres. Members provide high standards of dangerous goods training delivered by experienced instructors. To become an NDGTC member and obtain DfT approval training organisations have to meet laid down standards for facilities, equipment and instructor qualifications... The National Dangerous Goods Training Consortium, NDGTC, was formed in the 1970s to meet the needs of chemical manufacturers and operators of vehicles carrying dangerous goods who wanted drivers to be trained in the safe handling and carriage of the dangerous goods to ensure the low level of incidents was minimised.
