NEIGHBOURLY CARE

Neighbourly Care is a charitable organisation run by DBS checked volunteers. It aims to make our community a better and more caring place by providing practical help to housebound or isolated older people, people who are sick or disabled, people who are lonely, parents with young children or people in a sudden crisis... We produce annual accounts which are professionally examined and presented at our Annual General Meeting and details of these are given to the Charity Commission and our main sponsors... We now have a substantial number of volunteers and clients, but we are always looking to help more people. Our services are free of charge although we seek grants and donations when available. The Charity is run by unpaid volunteers, and relies on Grants, Donations and Fund Raising to meet our annual costs. Whilst our Volunteers are not paid, they do incur expenses in using their cars in the course of their various activities on behalf of our clients, as well as postage and telephone..
