PLYMPTON ST MARY ELECTORAL ROLL - Key Persons
Bob has been a licensed Reader (lay minister) for nearly 30 years and spent the majority of these years in Devonport Deanery until 2013 when he joined St Marys. He has lived in Plympton for 25 years and feels his ministry is more fulfilled living and ministering in Plympton. All his professional working life was educationally based, as well as being, until recently, on Exeter Board of Education. His other pastoral duties includes being a Chaplain to Plympton Air Training Corp and a member of Dartmoor Search and Rescue Team (Plymouth) which also includes pastoral responsibilities.
Father David is a retired parish priest whose ministry has taken him from tin mining parishes via inner city ministry (and a time in homelessness policy for the Government) to leafy Somerset and finally back to Cornwall. His interests are Christian spirituality; the performative nature of some obscure (French/Latin/English) medieval texts; liturgy, and people. He and Anne have many children and even more grandchildren of whom they are inordinately fond.
