Beth Pooley

Beth originally joined the Red House team as maternity cover for Linda. She has quickly become a valued member of the team and is now working with us to provide Dental Hygiene care on Mondays and Wednesdays. Beth is a caring enthusiastic hygienist who will work with you to ensure you achieve your optimum level of oral health.

Bryony McCartney

Bryony is originally from Shropshire, but has happily called Yorkshire home since graduating from Newcastle University in 2016. She has already built up a wealth of experience, both at home here in Yorkshire, but also on a six-month spell away when she enjoyed taking some time to work in New Zealand. Bryony enjoys providing a full variety of general dental care, and like the rest of the Red House team, particularly values establishing relationships which foster the maintenance of your dental health. She enjoys advanced composite (tooth coloured filling) work and as a Certified Invisalign Provider is also excited to be able to take on some routine orthodontic cases at the Red House. Outside of dentistry, Bryony enjoys being in the outdoors, hiking and wild swimming. Her other hobbies include music, yoga, travel and sampling different restaurants!

Linda McCulloch

Linda gained her Diploma in Dental Hygiene at the Birmingham School of Dental Hygiene in 2001. During her training she spent three valuable months in Turka, Finland studying at the University hospital there. Linda has been a member of the Red House team since 2001. In 2010 Linda took a year out to travel around the world with her fiancee, Richard (now husband). In her spare time she enjoys horse-riding, singing, reading and travel, as well as studying silversmithing and jewellery making at night classes.

Lucy Frost

Lucy qualified from University College London in 1990, spending her last year there as President of Dental Students. After a year Vocational Training in Portsmouth, she joined the hospital service and worked for a number of years as a Senior House Officer in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. During this time she took time out to backpack through South East Asia and scared herself silly bungee jumping in New Zealand. She has also been part of a six week expedition into the rainforest of Guyana, South America. Travelling in a dug out canoe, the team provided medical and dental care to the indigenous Amerindians. Lucy was awarded the Fellowship in Dental Surgery from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgery in Glasgow in 1996, and achieved the title of Specialist in Oral Surgery in 2000. Lucy has worked in general practice in the York area since 1997 and undertakes all aspects of general dentistry, including referrals for Oral Surgery. Lucy aims to provide high quality care in a relaxed environment. Her calm, gentle approach is appreciated by her patients.

Nitin Prasad

It is our pleasure to announce that Nitin Prasad has taken over the running of The Red House Dental Practice. Nitin joined the team in April 2015 before taking over the reins of the practice from Richard Marsden later that year. Nitin qualified from the University of Birmingham in 2002, top of his year. He was the only student in his year to qualify with an Honours degree and Distinction in Clinical Dentistry. He was also awarded several undergraduate prizes including the prestigious Carlton Gold Medal as the most outstanding Dental Graduate. Since then he has worked in both General Practice and Hospital Dentistry gaining numerous post-graduate skills and qualifications along the way. In 2005 he was awarded the Diploma of Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery (MFDS) from the Royal College of Surgeons of England. He has also subsequently completed a Diploma in Endodontology from the University of Chester. Nitin moved to North Yorkshire in 2006, and has worked in a number of practices in York and North Yorkshire since. Nitin undertakes all aspects of general dentistry, but has a keen interest in Endodontic (root canal) treatment. As well as working in practice, he also worked part-time from 2006 to 2020 as a Specialty Dentist in Endodontics at the Charles Clifford Dental Hospital in Sheffield, treating patients referred in for complex root canal treatment. To this extent he is also happy to take referrals from local dentists for root canal treatment at the Red House Dental Practice. As well as working in practice, Nitin has now also taken on a role as a Denplan Practice Advisor. Like the rest of the team at the Red House Dental Practice, Nitin prides himself on providing high quality dental care in a relaxed yet professional environment. With his wealth of experience and knowledge you can rest assured he will always place your dental health and well being at the forefront of your dental care. When not busy in the surgery Nitin can be found entertaining his young family. Be sure to look out for their photos in the surgery. The tiny terrors are always up to something new, and Nitin is always more than happy to entertain you with their most recent exploits!
