QORU is and academic research unit that provides health and social care quality outcomes research to help inform government policy... The success of this strategy will depend, in part, on how well outcome information is measured and used, and how results are translated into policies and practices that improve the experiences of people using health and social care services. QORU aims to facilitate this strategy by developing and promoting the appropriate use of both quantitative and qualitative evidence of need, quality and outcomes in relation to long-term health conditions to improve the quality of health and social care.
