Alex joined Rowe in 2021 as one of our hospital care assistants.
Alex has a background of working with dogs, cats and exotics at a local animal rescue centre.
She is the proud owner of a rescue cat and dog who she adores spending time with along with her family and friends.
Alex's passion is animals and hopes to one day become a veterinary nurse.

Carrie has over 12 years of experience in veterinary practice, starting as a veterinary care assistant and progressing to a registered veterinary nurse, qualifying in 2016. Currently, she serves as the dual-site Head Nurse at a busy first opinion practice and a dedicated cat clinic in Bristol.
Carrie holds a Graduate Diploma in Professional and Clinical Veterinary Nursing from the Royal Veterinary College and a Post Graduate Certificate in Advanced Veterinary Nursing (Pain Management) from Harper Adams University. She is also in the final year of her Master's Degree in Veterinary Anaesthesia and Analgesia at Edinburgh University. With a passion for all areas of nursing, Carrie's main interests are in anaesthesia and analgesia.
Carrie is also a member of the IVCE nurse board, and for the past year has chaired the board, bringing the monthly webinars and resources to all nurses within IVC. Throughout her career, she has contributed to veterinary journals and enjoys teaching and speaking at events for Vets, SVN's, and RVNs, focusing on anaesthesia, analgesia, and patient safety.
In her spare time, she is kept busy with her toddler, cat Dembe and horse Billy! (April 2025)

Catherine has been with the Rowe Vet Group since 2010. She trained at our Wotton-under-Edge practice working with companion animals, horses, exotics, the occasional farm animal and lots of wildlife.
In 2019 she transferred to the Yate branch where she has developed a keen interest in diagnostic imaging and dentistry.
She spends her spare time entertaining her two small children, going on long walks with her dog Peanut or riding her beloved horse Kizzy.

I started working at Rowe in March 2000. As well as being a receptionist, I help out on insurance. My job is very varied and I get to meet lots of interesting clients and their lovely fur babies! I have a very cheeky Boxer who is full of beans and keeps me on the go. I also have an African Grey parrot who loves peanuts!
Fran graduated from the University of Bristol in 2019. Having spent time in charity practice, she joined Rowe in November 2021 before undertaking a rotating internship at Langford Vets, where she developed her passion for feline medicine. She can be found at our Rowe Cat Clinic, or at our Rowe Yate branch. Fran is currently undertaking the ISFM accredited qualification in Feline Medicine, through the University of Sydney. She is an advocate for feline-friendly practice, and particularly enjoys looking after our geriatric feline friends. Outside of work, Fran can be found on a run, at the gym, drinking coffee or with her inquisitive Birman, Zari!
Liz qualified with distinction from Bristol University in 2002, and after working for 4 years in a small clinic in Weston-Super-Mare, joined the Rowe Vet Group in 2006, working at the Bradley Stoke hospital, in order to further her interest in medicine. After achieving a general practice certificate in small animal medicine in 2009, she realised that it was her feline patients that truly captivated her and went on to gain the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons Certificate in Advanced Veterinary Practice in Feline Medicine in 2018. In 2019, she was recognised as an Advanced Practitioner in Feline Medicine and became a member of the ISFM Feline Academy. She then spent a short spell working away from Rowe, in a cat-only clinic in Bath, returning to Rowe in 2023 as clinical lead of both the Cat Clinic and the Feline Hyperthyroidism Radioactive Iodine Unit. In 2024 she became a Member of the Feline Chapter of the Australia and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists, after successfully passing their prestigious Medicine of Cats exams. Liz loves all aspects of feline care, but particularly enjoys diagnosing and managing chronic medical conditions. She lives on the Cotswold edge with her husband and two daughters, and when not at work (or being kept busy by her children!) enjoys running and gardening

Finella qualified as a Registered Veterinary Nurse for in 2018. She started at Rowe in 2019 at the Yate branch and transferred to our Thornbury branch as Deputy Head RVN in July 2022. She has a certificate in feline nursing and is currently studying towards her certificate in medical nursing. Finella particularly enjoys nursing inpatients, cat nurse clinics and anaesthetics.
At home, Finella has 2 cats called Freddie and Evie and 2 guinea pigs called Manilla and Tucker. She loves to go travelling, going to the gym and playing on her Xbox during her free time.
Gary has been an ambulance driver since March 2018, and enjoys being out on the road and looking after the animals. He is interested in sport and live music.Gary loves dogs and this gives him an opportunity to spend time with them!

Georgia has been part of the Rowe Vet Group since July 2022. Georgia jumped at the chance to work at the Rowe Cat Clinic, and loves her role as Cat & Customer Care Assistant. Georgia enjoys lots of feline cuddles throughout the day, and of course working with Jo. Outside of work, Georgia is usually found with her six (fur)babies Peggy, Socks, Ada, Tilly, Rosie and Jim, four budgies & two canaries!

Jo joined the Cat Clinic in February 2023 after coming from a customer service background. Jo thoroughly enjoys working with people and animals, so this is her ideal job! Jo is a core member of the team who manages everything from Reception, Insurance Claims and Pet Health Club Subscriptions. Outside of work, Jo is usually busy looking after her three children, one dog (Doris), three cats (Suzy May, Gabi Elisabeth & Ernie) and finally her two chickens. When Jo does have some spare time, you will usually find her socialising, watching Netflix, or helping her partner at a local bird farm where they let her loose on the tractor!

Joyce started work in 2009 in Hong Kong and spent a year working and travelling in Australia. She recently relocated to the UK with all her pets (6 of them!) and joined Rowe Thornbury. She has a keen interest in anaesthesia and surgery.
Joyce enjoys spending her day off with her 4 cats, Aqua, Bor-Chi, Soda and Siu-Yu and 2 dogs, Mea-Mea and Cup-Cup. She loves taking her classic car to explore the beautiful British countryside and discover different restaurants because she is a big foodie!

Olivia qualified in 2018 with a Foundation Degree in Veterinary Nursing and the following year travelled to Vietnam and volunteered for the Animals Asia Bear Rescue Centre for 3 months. It was a life changing experience working up close with the bears and Olivia gained valuable skills in providing public awareness and educating the local communities on dog, cat and bear welfare. In 2019, Olivia joined Rowe and later secured the position of Deputy Head Nurse. Olivia has continued to develop her managerial and leadership skills to provide assistance and guidance to both the clinical and non-clinical team. Olivia enjoys all aspects of nursing, and has a keen interest in laboratory diagnostics and exotic species. In 2022, Olivia achieved a certificate in nursing exotic species.

I joined the practice in 1981 as a part time receptionist and have over the years increased my hours and taken on more responsibilities. I am currently a Senior Receptionist at our Thornbury Surgery. I worked in the IT industry for 35 years and took redundancy in 2017. I started work for Rowe's as a receptionist in Nov 2017, 20 hours per week, and I love it! It is refreshing to do something completely different and have more time to spend with my dog, taking long walks and exploring the countryside and beaches. My hobbies include cooking, knitting and crochet, travel, walking, reading and rugby, as a supporter, not a player! My children are grown up, one lives in New Zealand and the other is at university so it's quiet at home most of the time with just me and the dog.
