Ab Kramer was the youngest child of a family who immigrated from Austria-Hungary around the year 1900. He chose to study law, and in the last year of his studies he made ends meet by teaching law to new students. When he qualified as a solicitor he was awarded prizes as the top student in that year for the entire country. He commenced practice as a sole practitioner under the name A Kramer & Co. in 1934 and after a few months in temporary offices, he established the practice at 49 Queen Victoria Street, EC4, where it remained until 1954. Mr Kramer joined the R.A.F. as a volunteer in 1940 serving overseas for 4 years, during which time the practice was being run by a managing clerk under rules issued by the Law Society to deal with such wartime exigencies.
Arthur has been practising law for over 30 years and has practiced abroad. He is also a notary public.

David Pritchard is our commercial litigation and dispute resolution partner.
He deals with a broad portfolio of cases and his areas of practice include:
contract/commercial;
construction;
property litigation;
landlord & tenant;
civil fraud;
contentious/non-contentious insolvency matters (including bankruptcy/winding-up);
ADR;
enforcement.
David has over ten years' experience bringing and defending claims on behalf of corporate clients, individuals and insolvency practitioners, ranging from small-claims County Court matters right through to complex multi-track High Court litigation and appeals. David has enjoyed several recent successes at trial in the High Court and can happily say he has never lost a case to date. Equally he is a pragmatic operator with a keen commercial approach where the situation demands, having a proven track-record of settling difficult claims which are often challenging and emotive. In the normally stressful process of litigation, David is a calming and reassuring influence who will work tirelessly to ensure his clients' interests are protected.
Outside of the office, David enjoys rugby, squash and boxing (a fighter, even in his spare time). When he is not looking after his two young children, David is also a gigging-guitarist.

Dr. Donald Macfarlane is a leading international corporate and commercial solicitor-advocate with nearly 20 years' experience working within large multinationals like IBM, BP, US Law Firms and high tech British start-ups. Having worked both in-house and in private practice Donald is able to bring extensive business experience from diverse business' to benefit all his clients at SBP Law.
In addition to 10 years' real-world corporate executive experience (including roles as VP, Director and General Counsel), Donald's strong technical background provides invaluable insight into negotiation, drafting and delivery of all types of corporate and commercial transactions/operations.
Ellie is our office administrator and also regularly assists in the accounts department. Ellie is currently studying Business and Management with The Open University Business School.
In her spare time, Ellie likes socialising with her friends and family, travelling and exercising
Georgina is a Solicitor with over 30 years' experience in advising substantial businesses on complex legal issues and providing strategic and commercial solutions. She has established and led teams of solicitors in the business sector having significant experience in every aspect of commercial transactions. Her experience includes mergers and acquisitions, re-structuring and insolvency. She has also advised businesses with regard to a wealth of contentious and non-contentious employment issues.
Grant is a leading insolvency solicitor and specialises in all aspects of insolvency and corporate recovery work including cross border restructuring, administrations, liquidations, receiverships, company voluntary arrangements, bankruptcy, individual voluntary arrangements and directors` disqualification. He acts for Insolvency Practitioners, banks, companies, directors and other individuals.
Grant was the editor of the Insolvency Bulletin and regularly lectures to Insolvency Practitioners. His main cases include:-
Henry is a solicitor in the insolvency department. He has considerable experience in acting for both individuals in respect of bankruptcy proceedings, and also for all-sized companies facing financial difficulty on behalf of officeholders, shareholders and directors.
Lauren is a Solicitor in the firm's Property and Litigation departments. She assists on a range of residential and commercial property transactions as well as general litigation matters.
Marianne is a divorce and family solicitor at SBP Law, having qualified in January 2022.
Having completed the majority of her training contract in the busy family law department, she is very well versed in dealing with all issues surrounding both contentious and non-contentious divorce and family law, including divorce & separation, cohabitation disputes, financial remedy, private law children issues, domestic abuse issues and prenuptial agreements. Prior to this, she also gained valuable experience working within the civil litigation department.
As a member of Resolution - First for Family Law, she is committed to promoting a constructive approach to family law issues that minimises conflict and considers the needs of the whole family.
In 2020, Marianne's article titled "Prenups: Are they worth the paper they are written on?" was published by SBP Law and Qredible.

Michela Hughes is our matrimonial and family partner.
Her areas of practice include:
divorce;
financial claims arising from divorce;
Children Act (with a particular focus on international relocation);
separation agreements;
co-habitation disputes; and
pre- and post-nuptial agreements.
Michela has a strong reputation in her field with a significant part of her practice focused on financial claims arising from divorce. Her recently reported case of SS v NS (Spousal Maintenance) [2014] EWHC 4183 is ranked as one of the most pivotal family law cases of 2014 and demonstrates clearly her shrewd commercial approach. She is extremely client focused with an approachable, warm manner and a tenacious attitude.
Michela's interests outside the law include fine art, yoga and travelling.
Reena is a Solicitor in the firm's Wills and Probate department. She completed her training at a boutique firm in North West London specialising in Private Client and Property work. Reena qualified as a Solicitor in September 2021 and joined SBP Law shortly after qualifying. She advises clients on all aspects of their Wills, the estate administration and probate process and the preparation of Lasting Powers of Attorney.
Tatiana is a conveyancing executive and currently assists our busy property department with all types of transactions from residential sale/purchases/remortgages through to probate matters. She is renowned for her organisation, efficiency and tenacity in ensuring transactions are completed seamlessly for all our clients, and brings a personal touch to all she does.
Tim has been involved in varied property matters for several decades. Over the past twenty years he has facilitated the projects of some of the UK's largest developers, particularly in the fields of industrial and office leasing and funding. Many of Tim's clients are from Europe or further afield making their first foray into the English property scene.
