Adela Lofts

Adela completed her training at the Middlesex Hospital in London qualifying as a Physiotherapist in July 1992. She then started her career at the Mayday Hospital in Croydon, where she secured a broad grounding in many different physiotherapy disciplines, eventually leaving as a Senior Physiotherapist to pursue a career in private practice. Starting at the Wimpole Street Physiotherapy Clinic, then progressing to the Milligan & Hill Physiotherapy Clinic in the City, a large practice specialising in sports and work-related activities. Adela initiated and ran a proactive occupational upper limb clinic, making available a variety of treatment modalities including Pilates, acupuncture, and various aspects of ergonomics advice. Adela holds memberships with the CSP, OCPPP and AACP. Now based at Wimbledon Physiotherapy, Adela's enjoys treating a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions (both in adults and children). Adela continues to further her studies with special interests in sports and occupational injury rehabilitation. She is available for appointments on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.

Caroline North

Our Receptionist Caroline has been a vital part of our team since 2019. With her background in Sales and Marketing and exceptional organisational skills, Caroline makes sure that everything at the clinic is running smoothly. From Monday to Wednesday Caroline can be found manning the front desk, answering any questions patient's may have and helping make their time at the clinic as productive and enjoyable as possible. When not at work Caroline is kept very busy at home by her two teenage sons. Interior design, furniture restoration, DIY, cycling and Yoga are just a few interests of hers and if you're ever in need of a TV series recommendation, she's got you covered.

Jacinta Tennet

Jacinta has recently moved from Sydney, Australia having graduated with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy gaining experience working in a Sports injury Practice with focus on Orthopaedics, Musculoskeletal and Women's Health fields. She has also completed a year studying Exercise Science and Rehabilitation. Jacinta is a big believer that movement is medicine and is a certified APPI clinical Pilates instructor and has a special interest in Women's Health Physiotherapy. Using her knowledge and skills in these areas, she is passionate about helping individuals in all stages of life to achieve better health with tailored treatment and rehabilitation. Jacinta has participated at an Australian state level in both gymnastics and football, having won the U17's Football NSW State Cup in 2015. This has spurred her interest in managing sport related injuries particularly ankle rehabilitation and preventing recurrences. She has since hung up her boots and now enjoys running, Pilates and snowboarding in her spare time. Driven by genuine compassion and empathy, Jacinta will always strive to achieve the best outcome for you.

Jamie Harrington

Jamie completed his BSc in Physiotherapy at London Southbank university. Having a strong interest in Musculoskeletal conditions and more specifically sports injuries he completed his qualification in Sports massage. Jamie has a person-centred approach to physiotherapy and works closely with his patients to achieve patient specific goals. He believes strongly in empowering his patients to take ownership of their bodies and together with education and exercise prescription he gives his patients the tools needed to take back control of their conditions. In conjunction with this he has expert hands on skills and manual techniques which he uses to get proven results. Jamie regularly attends his local gym and golf course in his spare time. His interest for injury rehabilitation was formed during participating in a range of sports through his life including cricket for east surrey district and tennis at his local tennis club. Outside the clinic Jamie enjoys trying new food as well as watching a good Netflix film.

Matt Ryan

Matt qualified as a Physiotherapist from St George's University of London, having previously studied a BSc in Sport & Exercise Science at the University of Portsmouth. Combining the two disciplines Matt has developed keys skills in movement analysis, manual therapy and exercise prescription in order to improve pain and dysfunction. Since graduating, Matt has specialised in musculoskeletal and orthopaedic healthcare within the NHS. With a passion for sport, Matt's skills progressed further with his work in football. He became Lead Academy Physiotherapist at League One AFC Wimbledon during the 2016/17 season and followed that up working with the Woking FC first team during the 2018/19 promotion season to the National League. Matt has subsequently worked in private practise since 2018, aiming to deliver high quality care to people of all ages and abilities. He enhanced his professional development further by completing the Integrated Systems Model (ISM), a clinical framework developed by world-renowned Physiotherapist Diane Lee. The ISM uses specific biomechanical movement analysis in order to diagnose the root cause of injury, with the goal of treatment to facilitate improved function, better movement patterns, and ultimately reduce pain.

Megan Foster

Megan relocated to London from South Africa in 2020. She completed her Bachelors degree in Physiotherapy with Honours at the University of Cape Town, following which she spent her community service year at a rural hospital on the Wild Coast of South Africa. She has a thorough and professional understanding of musculoskeletal injuries with a strong passion for sports injury rehabilitation, having competed at a provincial level in 7 different sporting disciplines. Megan utilises hands on treatment modalities together with patient specific exercise prescription programs, always working towards the goal of getting her patients back to doing what they love. Over the past few years, Megan has been privileged enough to work with a great variety of patients, giving her first-hand experience in injury management of athletes at both elite and recreational levels. Megan has completed further studies since graduating, with a strong focus on sports injury prevention and rehabilitation. She is a qualified Dry Needle Technician, which equips her with advanced skills used to treat muscular dysfunction and pain that she uses in her clinical treatment sessions. When she is not treating patients, Megan enjoys keeping active and getting outdoors. Whether its running, swimming, or playing hockey she manages to keep herself very busy. Having recently moved to London she spends her weekends exploring the city and planning her next trip to somewhere sunny.

Sarah Martin

Sarah completed her Physiotherapy degree at The University of Birmingham in 1997. Following this, she worked for 5 years in the NHS where she gained valuable experience in all the major fields of physiotherapy, eventually going on to specialise in musculoskeletal therapy at Hammersmith Hospital in London. Sarah then took a 17 month break, during which time she travelled overseas and completed her Master's Degree in Sports Physiotherapy at the University of Melbourne in Australia. This included gaining valuable clinical experience working with the Australian National team competing at the Olympics. Since returning to the UK in 2004, Sarah has been working at the Wimbledon Physiotherapy Clinic. Alongside this, Sarah has been involved in working with various sports teams including: British diving, Esher Rugby Football club, U16/18 Welsh hockey, Surrey Men's hockey, National league hockey (Swansea), Wimbledon Rugby Football Club. Sarah has a strong hands-on approach to treatment, specialising in Sports Physiotherapy. She enjoys treating clients of all ages, from children through to the more mature population, with everyday aches and pains. Sarah makes use of an extensive list of treatment modalities which includes both hand-on techniques as well as advice for return to sport and prescription of home exercise regimes to prevent injury re-occurrence.

Sophy Stonehouse

Sophy qualified as a physiotherapist with a masters degree from King's College London after having previously studied a BSc in Applied Sports & Exercise Science at the University of Teesside. Sophy has a keen interest in musculoskeletal injuries, sport specific pathology and rehabilitation with the aim to get patients back to the highest level of function and performance. Outside of the clinic Sophy is the pitch side lead for the England University Hockey Team providing pitch side support, injury prevention, rehabilitation and education to those performing at the highest university level. Her interest in elite level athletes and rehab comes from her own sporting career. Sophy competed as a semi-professional athlete within women's' football for Durham WFC & Sunderland Ladies AFC, switching to now playing Field hockey within the National League at Barnes Hockey Club. These valuable experiences of performance level sport provide her with a unique insight into rehabilitation that can help her take her patients performance to the next level.

Tanya Glynn

Tanya joined us early this year to assist us in implementation of our new diary system. Tanya enjoyed the clinic environment so much she decided to stay and is now fulfilling the role as clinic coordinator and brings with her to this role her 20+ years of experience in project and team management. Tanya's role is to make sure the clinic runs smoothly making sure we as a team keep all our patients doing what they love! Tanya in her spare time enjoys gardening, playing golf and spending time with her two sons.

Wendy Skinner

Wendy qualified in 1995 with a Bachelor's degree in Physiotherapy. She then spent the next 7 years working for the NHS, majority of which was at Charing Cross Hospital in Hammersmith. In 2002 she decided it was time for a change and entered the world of private practice physiotherapy. Wendy purchased Wimbledon Physiotherapy Clinic in 2003. She has since continued to further her knowledge base and has become a qualified member of the MACP. Through this Wendy has become a mentor and invests time into teaching and guiding the next generation of physiotherapists. She holds certificates in both sport's physiotherapy and orthopaedic medicine. Wendy also holds an accreditation as a Kinetic Control Movement Therapist through Keele University with her final project being a study into the clinical evidence of muscle activation and recruitment after single segmental lumbar spine surgery. Wendy enjoys treating the whole musculoskeletal system, but her main passion and area of expertise is in the treatment of orthopaedic patients, especially after ACL repair, Achilles Rupture (both conservatively managed and surgically repaired), joint replacements, and spinal surgery and she is very passionate about the importance of early intervention. Wendy also has strong links with many of the top local orthopaedic surgeons and with their input, has developed treatment pathways to ensure that the best possible outcome is achieved for all orthopaedic patients. There are many patients who have had successful surgery to repair a ligament, tendon or fracture and are then left for 6 weeks to heal with the same exercises and instructions. Wendy believes all patients undergoing surgery should have access to the highest quality rehabilitation programs as some of the top athletes who undergo similar procedures. Outside of physiotherapy, Wendy enjoys spending time with her friends and family and taking her dog on long walks.
