CQC has announced that it is changing the way it inspects residential care homes... On 9th October 2014, Andrea Sutcliffe (Chief Inspector Adult Social Care - CQC) told the BBC that previous inspections were something of a "tick box" exercise and the CQC would have to work hard to regain public trust... Instead, there will be more frequent OFSTED style inspections carried out by teams of inspectors.
