Heimdal Consultants was established in 1986 by Brian Barker, who studied at Cambridge University of Arts and Technology, now the Anglia Polytechnic University, and worked for some years for the Ministry of Defence on the UK's guided weapons design programme. Having spent 10 years in the Offshore Oil and Gas industry, project managing design and construction of on and offshore platform and petrochemical facilities in the USA, UK and Scandinavia, Brian set up Heimdal as a consultancy for Project Management and International Recruitment of Senior Offshore Engineers and Managers
