Established in 2003, the McMinn Centre is the first point of contact for patients who require hip and knee surgery under the care of Professor Derek McMinn MD FRCS, pioneer of the Birmingham Hip Resurfacing (BHR). Professor McMinn specialises in conservative treatments for young and active patients including hip resurfacing, Birmingham Mid Head Resection (BMHR) and the Birmingham Knee Replacement (BKR); he also provides total hip replacement surgery for suitable patients... We are also dedicated to researching the efficacy of our implants to ensure the best levels of care for all our patients. Our research has led to over one hundred pieces of published literature in the last few years with several original citations and papers.
