Martin Bryars, is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, which is Europe's leading accountancy body. He qualified in 1970, having achieved top place nationally in his final professional exams. Martin worked from 1967 to 1983 for the major constituent of one of the "big 4" firms of accountants, becoming a senior manager dealing with much complex work for large companies.
