We are specialist providers of care and support for individuals suffering from Wernicke-Korsakoff's syndrome (Korsakov's) and acquired brain injury or ARBD (Alcohol-Related Brain Damage). Mostly, but not exclusively, our clients‘ difficulties have arisen from long term alcohol abuse with associated traumatic/non-traumatic brain injury... In 2006, we changed our registration to reflect our increasing specialisation in adults under 65 with alcohol-related dementia and related conditions as well as other organic mental health issues. In 2017 we opened Artichoak Cottage as part of Elizabeth House and we now support 36 individuals with various forms of alcohol-related dementia, alcohol-related brain damage, hepatic encephalopathy, short term memory loss and related conditions across all three sites. We specialise in supporting people with Korsakoff's Syndrome and other forms of ARBD... We are proud to be part of a fantastic team of people who are all really dedicated to making a different..
