Before founding Terra Advisors, he worked in the European telecom and technology sectors with Orange and LUUP from 2001 to 2007. He has lived in Uganda, Sweden, Canada and the UK and is fluent in English and Swedish. This cultural diversity helps in dealing with candidates throughout Europe, the Middle East and North America. Shafiq has a Bachelor of Applied Science in Electrical Engineering, University of British Columbia, Canada.
