Andrew Thrower

  • in 1988 As a Graduate Engineer
Andrew joined Watkins Payne in 1988 as a Graduate Engineer and then progressed through to a Partner in 1997 before becoming Director when the practice changed from a Partnership to an EOT in 2022. Over Andrew's career, he has worked on a wide variety of projects types for numerous clients with a long history of repeat work. Andrew brings a passion for engineering and commitment to delivering quality work, whilst always keeping the client's requirements at the forefront. Internally Andrew typically leads technical developments in the practice, including the sustainability aspects with an increasing focus on embodied and operational carbon. Outside of the practice, Andrew's time is taken up with reading, travel and his beloved Norwich City FC.

Aneet Jeerh

Job Titles:
  • Associate Director
Aneet has been with Watkins Payne since 2007 when he joined as a Graduate Engineer and after progressing through the practice he became an Associate in January 2016. He became an Associate Director when the practice changed from a Partnership to an EOT in 2022. In addition, Aneet is responsible for the day to day operation of the London office. During his tenure, he has led an array of projects to various fit out specifications covering sectors including retail, residential and commercial as well as providing consultancy advice for purchase / acquisition and dilapidation surveys. As a Low Carbon Consultant, his knowledge base extends across building services, sustainability and both embodied and operational carbon. With a lifelong sporting background, Aneet spends his spare time honing his martial arts skills and playing football.

Bradley Lobetta

Job Titles:
  • Lead Sustainability Consultant
Bradley joined Watkins Payne in 2018 having previously worked at a specialist environmental consultancy for over three years. He was promoted to Senior Sustainability Consultant in April 2021 and is now our Lead Sustainability Consultant for the start of 2022. Bradley has extensive experience leading a wide range of projects from concept through to completion, including office, retail, industrial and multi-residential developments. He has particular expertise in the delivery of BREEAM, WELL and Fitwel assessments along with embodied carbon assessment work. Away from work Bradley enjoys travelling, playing most sports and being a Tottenham Hotspur season ticket holder.

James Chapman

Job Titles:
  • Associate Director
James began his career at Watkins Payne as a Graduate Engineer in October 2011 before becoming a Senior Engineer in January 2016. He became an Associate in January 2021 and Associate Director in 2022 when the practice changed from a Partnership to an EOT. James has led a variety of projects from large scale commercial and residential projects to much smaller scale refurbishments and mixed use schemes in his time at Watkins Payne. He has extensive knowledge of energy modelling, SAP assessments and renewable energy technologies and understands the importance of reducing energy use in office and residential buildings alike. As a keen sports fan, he likes to keep up to date with pretty much everything from football to formula 1 and most weekends can be found on the golf course.

Jamie Daniel

Job Titles:
  • Senior Sustainability Consultant
Jamie began his career at Watkins Payne as a BREEAM assessor in October 2011 before progressing to a Senior Sustainability Consultant in January 2014. Jamie has been involved in a variety of sustainability assessments across all sectors ranging from large scale commercial and residential projects to much smaller scale refurbishments and mixed use schemes. He has extensive knowledge of the sustainability agenda and works closely with the design team to ensure a highly sustainable built environment is created. Interests include football, photography, art and outdoor pursuits.

Kevin Ainsworth - COO

Job Titles:
  • Operations Director
Kevin's joined Watkins Payne in 1981 as a young trainee before heading off to University. He has since worked for several other consultancies before re-joining Watkins Payne in 2005 and then progressing to Partner in 2011. In 2022 he became Operations Director when the company moved from a Partnership to an EOT. Kevin has completed a wide variety of projects ranging from Government offices, University campus developments, mixed use commercial and residential projects, together with consultancy advice for purchase / acquisition and dilapidation surveys. At weekends Kevin can mostly be found restoring classic cars and motorcycles.

Kim Peters

Job Titles:
  • Associate Director
Kim has worked in the Building Services Industry for over 35 years, in Germany and within the UK for the last 14 years. He has worked in different roles for Services Contractors, Principle Contractors and Professional Services Consultancies in both countries, gaining unique insight and understanding from these different perspectives. During his career, he has been working in many fields of the Industry, from Commercial Office/Mixed Use/Residential/Educational and, extensively Healthcare Sectors. Away from work, Kim enjoys spending time with his two dogs, trips to Germany and generally keeping busy with projects around the house.

Mike Cousins - COO

Job Titles:
  • Operations Director
Mike joined the practice in 1995 as a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer. He was promoted to Associate in early 1999 and became a Partner in 2007. Mike became an Operations Director when the company changed from a Partnership to an EOT in 2022. Mike has experience in delivering numerous projects across the broad spectrum of the Practice workload including residential, commercial office, mixed use schemes, retail, industrial and hotels. Mike's experience also includes working on listed building refurbishments. Outside of work Mike likes to keep fit and can be found in the gym or out jogging.

Moditha Wickramaratna

Job Titles:
  • Associate Director
  • a Graduate Engineer
In 2007 Moditha joined Watkins Payne as a Graduate Engineer and has progressed through the engineering grades to become an Associate in 2017. In 2022 she became an Associate Director when the company became an EOT. Moditha has worked on a variety of engineering schemes on various commercial and residential projects. She is a qualified Low Carbon Energy Assessor (LCEA) and has a special interest in the sustainability and energy sector. Moditha is widely travelled and her surname reflects her Sri Lankan heritage, being fluent in Sinhala as well as English. She has a keen interest in experiencing different arts and cultures and has visited many countries in Europe, Asia and The Americas.

Paul Wells

Job Titles:
  • Principal VT Engineer
Paul joined the practice in January 2016 as a Senior Vertical Transportation Engineer before progressing to Principal Vertical Transportation Engineer in May 2021. Paul's career in vertical transportation has spanned over 20 years, designing lifts for a number of small and large lift manufacturers working his way becoming a consultant. Paul has experience of providing Vertical Transportation expertise for new and existing buildings across a broad range including commercial office, residential, retail, hotels, industrial and mixed use buildings. Outside of work Paul is a family man and likes to run, play football and follow the trials and tribulations of his favourite football team Sheffield Wednesday.

Robert Marshall

Job Titles:

  • Principal Performance Engineer
Rob joined Watkins Payne in 2007 as a Graduate Engineer, progressed through the engineering levels and currently leads the Building Performance team having become Principal Building Performance Engineer in 2020. Rob also became the first NABERS UK assessor in 2021. Rob has gained experience leading a variety of projects from concept to completion including large scale commercial and residential projects. He has provided a key role in developing the practice Design for Performance processes and has carried out numerous NABERS UK rating estimate reports including two pioneer projects for the scheme. Rob has a particular understanding of maximising building energy efficiency both in design and operation and the importance of continuing to constantly improve our MEP services designs. This knowledge has since been recognised as he has been accepted as a member of the NABERS UK Independent Design Review Panel allowing him to provide this service to our clients. Rob enjoys watching sport, in particular motorsport, and spending valuable time with his young family. He has a passion for travel and took a year sabbatical in 2014 to see the world.
