Andy Wake has 40 years of experience within the machine and industrial knife-manufacturing sector. Andy, who had 20 years previous service with Tyzack, re-joined them from Wolstenholme Machine Knives. Prior to that Andy worked both in the Knife Regrinding sector and was six years in the role of Sales Manager at Microblade. All these manufacturing companies have a proud Sheffield heritage and are part of the "MADE IN SHEFFIELD" campaign. Andy was part of the Henry Rhodes Machine Knife team, which, together with W.A Tyzack, acquired and brought together companies with long Sheffield and Machine Knife history such as Tyzack Sons & Turner, A.R. Heathcotes and Firth Brown (Shears) to form Tyzack Machine Knives.

Chris has been at Tinsley Bridge for 37 years - all his working life. He started as an apprentice in 1979 at British Steel Corporation gaining experience in the whole steel making process before working in purchasing, planning and sales. By the time he was 23 he had become Purchasing Manager. In 1994 the logistics function was moved under his control and in the future, one of the key tasks will be to bring together group purchasing for the three companies on site.

Kevin Charlesworth

During a traditional engineering apprenticeship, Kevin gained his ONC and HNC qualifications in Mechanical & Production Engineering, then becoming a Machinist/Fitter until he joined Tinsley Bridge in 1989 as a Tool/Product Design Engineer. Here he fulfilled several roles in Customer Services, Business Development and Production. He then became Works Manager and was appointed Production Director in 2001. After his MBA in 2007, Kevin was seconded to India working on a joint venture development project, returning to Tinsley Bridge in 2009 as Group Production Director.

Tinsley Bridge Group's three companies specialise in high-end, large-scale engineering, employing 170 people in Sheffield and exporting 70 percent of their products. […] Engineering group chief Mark Webber is calling for more companies to invest in talent within the Sheffield region to ensure industry has the right skills to continue to grow and develop. Speaking at the end of National Apprenticeship Week, Mr Webber, who is managing director of the Sheffield-based Tinsley Bridge Group, said engineering and manufacturing Mark joined Tinsley Bridge in 1989 working on purchasing, logistics and IT and became a Director in 1990. From 1997-2001 he took the role of Managing Director at a Sheffield family firm, producing agricultural wear components, growing their export business by 300%. He rejoined the Tinsley Bridge Group as Managing Director in 2001.

Martin Bagshaw

Martin joined Tinsley Bridge in 1977 as a Craft Apprentice in the Maintenance department. Driven by a positive work ethic and desire to achieve, Martin progressed though the organisation gaining experience in Tool Design, Sample Manufacture and Business Development, Project and Process Engineering. An engineering graduate, he also has significant experience in production management having been responsible for managing Tinsley Bridge Anti Roll Bar production activities during a 5 year period of unprecedented growth, and a further 5 years manufacturing experience as General Manager for Tyzack Machine Knives.
