Dr Ariane Sampson

Dr Ariane qualified from Barts and The London School of Medicine in 2012. She initially worked as a General Dentist, during which time she completed extra training in Dental Implants. She obtained her Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery with the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. Ariane held senior house officer and senior clinical fellow appointments in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery and Paediatric Dentistry at Northwick Park, The Royal London and Addenbrookes Hospitals. Ariane gained her Membership in Orthodontics with the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and her Masters in Orthodontics from Kings College, London. She has a special interest in the use of modern methods to obtain anchorage for efficient tooth movement making challenging situations possible. Ariane is kind, gentle and systematic. She enjoys finding ways to make orthodontic treatment and its life-changing results accessible to patients of all ages. Ariane is a GDC registered Specialist in Orthodontics. Outside the practice, Ariane loves painting and collecting art. She has exhibited internationally. Her area of interest in collecting is Post-War Contemporary and Emerging Art. Prior to her dental training, Ariane was playing tennis competitively at a high level which was curtailed by injury however she has retained her love of the sport and is a certified line judge.

Dr Daniel Flynn

Dr Daniel Flynn specialises in saving teeth. He is a talented root canal specialist and a leading light in his field. After qualifying from Trinity College Dublin in 2002, Daniel spent a year as a House Officer in the Dublin Dental Hospital, concentrating on both restorative dentistry and oral surgery. Following this, he worked in private practice and completed the MFDS exams before beginning a 3 year programme in Endodontics at the Eastman Dental Institute. He was subsequently awarded the Membership in Restorative Dentistry (MRD), the highest formal qualification available for the endodontic mono-specialty, by the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, and entered onto the General Dental Council's Specialist List for Endodontics. Daniel believes that, where possible, a natural tooth is superior to an implant or any other replacement so long as it is strong enough and has adequate bone support. To this end, he has dedicated the last 5 years to perfecting minimally invasive root canal treatment and endodontic microsurgery techniques, the ultimate tooth saving procedure. He uses state of the art small volume CBCT scans, where necessary, to diagnose causes of dental pain and infection. Daniel has treated thousands of anxious patients with great kindness and sensitivity over the years developing a virtually pain-free approach. He believes the process of root canal treatment need not be unduly prolonged and has finetuned communication with his dental nurse to choreograph a swift procedure that is highly efficient for the patient and consistently excellent in result. He fully understands the relationship between successful root canal treatment and the subsequent restoration of the tooth. Daniel lectures and provides hands-on courses for dentists both in the UK and internationally and has taught Endodontics at the Eastman Dental Institute for Oral Healthcare Sciences. He receives referrals from General Dental Practice and patient self-referral in addition to referrals of particularly challenging cases from other root canal specialists. Daniel enjoys skiing, playing golf, football and squash, and spending time with his young family.

Dr Emiliano Zanaboni

Dr Emiliano Zanaboni is a specialist in Periodontology (Gums) with a particular interest in implant dentistry and bone/gum regeneration in this context. Vastly experienced and qualified in these disciplines, his surgical techniques are characterised by precision and attention to detail. He is a kind and highly skilled surgeon. Emiliano graduated from the University of Turin, College of Dentistry, Italy in 1997 with 110/110 cum laude (highest honours grade). He completed a two-year full time programme in Implant Dentistry at New York University in 2000 having won a scholarship place. He achieved his MClinDent in Periodontology (with distinction) in 2008 having completed his studies at the Royal London Hospital. Emiliano is a Mentor in Implant Dentistry for the Academy of Dental Implantology. He is on the General Dental Council Specialist register for Periodontology. Emiliano is bilingual and completely fluent in Italian and English. He maintains his practising career in both London and his native Turin where his family is based.

Dr Federico Tinti

Dr Federico is a specialist in Periodontology (Gums) with over 25 years' experience in dentistry. Dr Federico qualified as a dentist in Italy in 1998 and went on to achieve Post Graduate qualifications in Periodontology both in New York and London (Guy's, King's and St Thomas'). Federico has always had a special interest in surgical and aesthetic periodontal procedures and so limited his practice to Periodontology upon acquiring his MSc (2003) and gained entry to the GDC specialist list of periodontists in 2011. Federico is diligent and conservative in his work, choreographing beautifully with our hygienists to enable patients to preserve their teeth for longer, and often for life. Dr Federico is thoughtful, calm and gentle, making him extremely well-liked by patients and the team alike. Federico has extensive experience in all aspects of periodontal treatment and loves to stabilise patients with gum disease using both non-surgical and surgical techniques, he is highly skilled in grafting and crown lengthening procedures. He does not place implants. In his spare time Federico enjoys playing tennis, fly fishing, hiking, and skiing.

Dr Gaynor Langley

Dr Gaynor Langley is the Principal dentist and owner of 38 Devonshire Street where she has practised as a General Dentist since 1991. Gaynor has a particular interest in comprehensive high-quality restorative dentistry, prevention of dental disease and the treatment of children and anxious adult patients through good psychological behavioural management. She has a calm, gentle approach and an ability to listen and tune in at a deep level. Her experience over the past 30 years has been both broad and deep and has covered much change within the profession. There is very little she hasn't experienced and has the ability to meet the needs of all her patients from the simplest to the most complex of problems. She has always upheld the principles of minimally invasive dentistry and the preservation of the natural beauty of a sound dentition through an active approach to prevention. This ethos runs throughout every aspect of 38 Devonshire Street. Gaynor graduated from Guy's Dental School in 1989 having won both the Newland Pedley Medal and Prize and the Stephen D Hey Prize for Restorative Dentistry. She completed further training in the Department of Restorative Dentistry at Guy's Hospital and then at Stoke Mandeville Hospital as Senior House Officer in the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Department. In 2010, she set up Seminars@thirtyeight, a dedicated continuing education facility within the practice. The aim was to inspire, motivate and teach world-class dentistry to dentists and their teams. Hundreds of dentists and their teams have benefitted from her training programmes over the years and many masterclasses have been led by some of leading lights of our profession from around the world at 38. Gaynor has combined her full-time professional career with bringing up her four lovely children.

Dr Geoffrey Pullen

Geoff is hugely experienced and has worked as a private dentist in the West End of London since returning from his studies in Los Angeles in 1981. He ran his own private practice for many years and has sat on the Clinical Boards of four of the major Dental Corporate companies in the UK. As one of the Clinical leads for Bicon Dental Implants he has taught dental implant surgery to hundreds of dentists lecturing in the UK, Europe and across the world. He has been President of both the American Dental Society of London and The American Dental Society of Europe. Geoff is calm and kind. He has a very practical and pragmatic approach to problem solving. His treatment planning skill and dynamic range as a dentist is immense. He is as comfortable doing simple dentistry as he is doing complex reconstructive work. He loves to mentor younger colleagues. Geoff is just as passionate about dentistry now as he was when he returned from the USA forty years ago.

Dr Gunilla Assmundson

Dr Gunilla has forty years experience in dentistry. She has independently run her practice from 38 Devonshire Street over the past ten years and as of August 2022, we are thrilled to welcome her to our wider team. Dr Gunilla has a particular interest in minimally invasive cosmetic dentistry, preventive dentistry endodontics and family dentistry. She delivers the highest levels of personalised dental care to patients of all ages in a gentle, efficient and professional way. After qualifying at the University of Göteborg in 1982, Dr Gunilla spent a few years in practice in Sweden. She moved to London in 1985, passed her Statutory Exam in 1986 and set up her own private practice in London's West End in 1987. She has been working as a general and family dentist ever since. Memberships: BDA, BACD, LDSC, BAPD Dr Gunilla is fluent in both Swedish and English. Outside the practice, Dr Gunilla enjoys spending her time running, playing golf, doing Pilates, skiing, seeing friends and the ever expanding family.

Dr Kostas Papadopoulos

Dr Richard has a wide range of expertise in cosmetic and aesthetic restorative dentistry. Dr Richard graduated with Honours from the University of Glasgow in 2011 and has since completed extensive training, centred around Cosmetic & Aesthetic Restorative Dentistry. In 2014, Dr Richard won Best Young Dentist UK at the Dentistry Awards and in 2018, he was recognised as an Accredited Member of the British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. He was the youngest dentist ever to have achieved this accolade. Having won multiple awards for his Aesthetic Dentistry, in 2022 Dr Richard was invited to be one of the judges at the Aesthetic Dentistry Awards. He has a wide range of expertise in cosmetic and aesthetic restorative dentistry including smile design, composite bonding and composite veneers, ceramic veneers & crowns, restoring worn down teeth and removing white spots from teeth. Dr Steffen Decker

Dr Theodoros (Theo) Kapos

Dr Theo Kapos is highly experienced in all of the disciplines of reconstructive and restorative dentistry. He is particularly interested in dealing with the care of very complex dental problems especially those requiring fully mouth rehabilitation. He is fluent in the use of implants where necessary. He treats his patients with great kindness, gentleness and respect. Dr. Theo received his dental degree (DMD) at Harvard School of Dental Medicine (Boston USA). He remained at Harvard and followed this with a three-year speciality program where he earned an MMSc degree in Oral Biology and a Certificate in Prosthodontics. In order to further his skill and knowledge, Dr Theo joined a two-year Advanced Graduate Implantology Program from which he received a certificate in Implant Dentistry. Following completion of his Advanced Graduate training, he was then appointed as faculty at Harvard as a clinical instructor in the Department of Restorative Dentistry and Biomaterials Sciences. Dr Theo is a fellow of the International Team for Implantology (ITI), the former chairman of the Junior Committee of the European Academy for Osseointegration (EAO) and an active member of the American College of Prosthodontics (ACP). He is also currently a visiting lecturer at the UCL Eastman Dental Institute. Dr Theo is often invited to lecture at local, national and international meetings and his research has been published in international peer-reviewed journals. Frances (Fran) Robinson

Frances graduated from Cardiff University in 2015 in Dental Hygiene and completed her Masters in Dental Public Health at University College London in 2017. Frances is particularly interested in the care, motivation and management of nervous patients. Her gentle but thorough approach to dental hygiene treatment enables even the most anxious patients to achieve new heights in the level of their oral health. She is able to offer treatment under oral and intravenous sedation where needed and by prior arrangement. Frances' further interests lie in oral health promotion and education both within the UK and globally. She has presented her research at a number of international conferences. She has been studying various aspects of paediatric dentistry and oral health within care homes. She is currently completing a prestigious clinical fellowship with Health Education England. She is the first dental hygienist to have ever been offered this post. Frances is a seasoned volunteer for various dental charities having travelled to Nepal, India and Cambodia in this capacity. She considers it her lifelong ambition to use her clinical skills to help those in less fortunate circumstances. She is currently a fundraising officer for Dental Mavericks, a dental charity based in Morocco and Lebanon. Frances uses our signature Guided Biofilm Therapy method, as does the whole hygiene team. She is also trained to carry out teeth whitening treatment. Frances is very active and sporty and enjoys running, skiing, playing touch rugby and lacrosse and competitive horse-riding. She is given to intrepid solo adventures and has travelled to India, Uzbekistan and Mongolia.

Sarah Gilder

Sarah offers a wealth of experience in preventing and treating oral and gum disease and is skilled in motivating her patients to achieve dental health and the associated general health benefits. Sarah is calm and reassuring treating each patient as an individual. She consistently exceeds expectations and has guided thousands of patients over the years into dental stability and the lifelong benefits that brings. Sarah is fluent and current in all methods of teeth whitening and gains much satisfaction out of guiding her patients to enhance the natural beauty of their teeth.

Sarah is experienced in all stages and disciplines of orthodontic treatment and works alongside our orthodontist team to provide the highest standard of treatment. Her particular area of interest is in providing neat fixed lingual retainers which she does with great skill and accuracy, ensuring they are smooth to the tongue and easy to maintain and clean. Sarah has developed her own successful brand "The London OT", where she supports and mentors other orthodontic therapists as they develop in their roles. She is known within the profession as an ambassador for orthodontic therapists. Sarah is a board member for FMC clinical dentistry magazine, a speaker for the Align technology team faculty (Invisalign) and winner of "Best Orthodontic Therapist" 2021.
