Ali is a Switchboard Client Services Assistant for Mayo Wynne Baxter's Lewes office and has been with the firm since 1995. With her vast knowledge of the firm and industry, she helps run the office with consummate ease, and has always maintained a high level of professionalism and geniality.
Before joining the practice, Ali worked with Lewis Holman and Lawrence, where she spent 13 happy years. This was followed by 12 years with predecessor firm Wynne Baxter, where she was asked to stay on.
At work Ali has exceptional relationships with all clients, and this is testament to the integrity and commitment she gives to her role.

I started my career in the Aviation industry qualifying as a flight attendant in 2018, and shortly after changed careers to the Motor Trade in Customer Service, working for many different Brands over 7 years.
I started at MWB in 2021 as an LSA, I then became a Paralegal in the Private Client team in June 2022.
Before starting at MWB, I worked as a manager for B&B hotels where I discovered my passion for helping people and I knew I wanted to work directly with people.
After leaving school I went straight to work and started in Insurance for the first 3-4 years.
I swiftly moved into law and my introduction to law was a very brief stint in Matrimonial. I then moved into Residential Conveyancing.

Amanda has recently joined Mayo Wynne Baxter and is based in our East Grinstead office, as an Enfranchisement Executive.
Amanda was previously working at another Sussex based Firm, where she worked as a fee earner in enfranchisement since 2009.
Before specialising in enfranchisement work, Amanda's background is residential conveyancing. However, she now specialises in: -
I have joined MWB as a Paralegal in the Residential Property team in Storrington.
I have studied with CILEX part-time whilst working and graduated in 2020. I hope to develop my skills and knowledge with the view to becoming a Charted Legal Executive in the future.
Prior to joining MWB and transitioning ino Residential Conveyancing, I worked in Commercial Property starting in an administrative role before becoming a Paralegal. I worked predominantly with developer clients and gained valuable knowledge and experience during this time. I have always had an interest in Residential Property and recently decided to make the change and intend to build my career in this area in the long term.
Aneliese is a solicitor in the Property department. She specialises in residential property including sales and purchases of freehold and leasehold properties, re-mortgages, transfers of equity, and the registration of unregistered land.
Aneliese graduated from Oxford University with a degree in Modern Languages after which she completed the Graduate Diploma in Law and Legal Practice Course at BPP in London. She qualified in 2013 and, before moving to Lewes and joining Mayo Wynne Baxter, she worked in London gaining experience acting for private individuals and investors based both in the UK and overseas as well as for several rural landed estate clients.
Aneliese enjoys efficiently guiding clients through the conveyancing process and minimising the stress involved; she appreciates that buying and selling property can be daunting and prides herself upon offering high quality and commercially focussed legal advice to enable clients to make the right decisions.
Outside of work Aneliese enjoys spending time with her family, reading, and cooking.

Angela qualified as Legal Executive in 1995 and specialised in Residential Conveyancing. She is now our Chartered Legal Executive.
Angela was employed in Private Practise working primarily for DMH in East Grinstead, Lewes and Brighton.
Angela took a career break to have her three children, and worked part-time in a local Primary School.
Outside of work, Angela is a keen gardener, and enjoys walking around Storrington and The Downs. She volunteers at the local conservation group and maintains areas of interest.
I am a Paralegal within the Leasehold Enfranchisement Team who deal with various Landlord and Tenant issues including Lease extensions, Right to Manage and Collective Enfranchisement matters.
I have worked at MWB since 1990 assisting in a wide variety of areas of law including Probate and Wills, Residential Conveyancing, Matrimonial and Commercial Conveyancing/Company work.
Anna completed a degree in Psychology at UEA, before completing her Law conversion course, locally, at Sussex University. She accomplished her Law Practicing Certificate in Guildford and completed her training at a firm in Tunbridge Wells where she qualified in 2008.
In April 2021, Anna became a Partner with the firm.
Anna has since worked in the City acting for large Housing Associations on property and also on fraud/commercial litigation matters before returning to her home town of Brighton to focus on residential property.
With over 12 years experience across a broad spectrum of property matters Anna has gained a great depth of experience in dealing with a wide range of cases.
Outside of work, Anna is big Brighton & Hove Albion fan and is a season ticket holder. Away from the pitch she also enjoys travelling, dancing and amateur dramatics.
Beth has worked in law firms since leaving college, starting out on reception and working her way up to paralegal within the Leasehold Enfranchisement Team here at Mayo Wynne Baxter, dealing with lease extensions, collective enfranchisement and freehold sales and purchases.
Her previous role was in Commercial Development, where she gained a keen interest in property law through working on agricultural land conveyancing matters. She enjoys roles where she can work closely with clients.
Beth gained her degree at The University of Westminster and hopes to qualify as a chartered legal executive in the near future.
Beth is Brighton born and bred and in her spare time she enjoys listening to podcasts, going to the theatre, and singing in a choir. She also volunteers as a trustee of a charity in Brighton which works with communities to develop and express their creativity through socially engaged art practice.
Carly joined Mayo & Perkins back in March 2005 as a float secretary but quickly became a permanant member of the property team.
She progressed to a Property Assistant in 2015 and deals with all aspects of a conveyancing transaction, from file opening through to completion.
Out of work Carly enjoys spending time with her children and family, gardening, decorating, socialising and talking to spirit world.
Carol comes from South Africa and after finishing school in 1989 she started working for solicitors and has been working in property mostly since 1994 as a conveyancing secretary.
She moved to the UK in 2006 and worked in the commercial property department at Field Fisher Waterhouse in London, also as a legal secretary until she had her daughter in 2009. After staying at home for a year, they then returned to South Africa for 4 years and once again returned to work as a conveyancing secretary.
Carol returned to the UK in 2016, worked in Litigation and Private Client for a year, then re-joined the Property Department as a Paralegal. Carol is completing an apprenticeship as a Licensed Conveyancer and will hopefully qualify in the not too distant future.
When Carol is not at work, she enjoys time with her daughter and friends, and enjoys music, movies, exercising and travelling.
Caroline is over 20 years qualified Initially working in personal injury litigation . She then developed an interest in Private Client moving into this area and further specialising with the society of trust and estate practitioners, {sTep) contentious probate and studying for ACTAPs qualification .
Caroline is chair of headway Kent a charity focusing on social rehabilitation for people with brain injury Caroline was educated locally and at Sussex university for the law conversion course and has worked in Kent and London.
Caroline enjoys open water swimming and is taking part in the Henley swimming marathon (14k). She also enjoys paddle boarding, walking and climbing.
Caroline joined MWB in August 2022 as Executive Assistant to the Chief Executive Partner and Board with responsibility for ensuring the smooth running of the Chief Executive's office and the efficiency of Board and Committee meetings.
Prior to joining MWB, Caroline gained valuable Board and Committee experience working for financial regulators in Qatar and the United Arab Emirates. She also has several years' experience as an Executive Assistant working for international banks, law firms, accountants, media agencies and oil and gas companies in the Middle East, London and the South-East of England.
I have worked for Mayo Wynne Baxter since 2009, initially joining as a Legal Secretary before progressing to a Commercial Property Paralegal.
I hold a Commercial Property Paralegal Diploma and I specialise in simple land sale and purchases, first registrations, simple rural tenancy agreements and a wide range of Land Registry issues.
I work alongside Simon Baillie-Hamilton and Louise Trist and also assist them on their day to day matters. I am predominantly based in the Lewes office.
I joined MWB in September 2023 as a Paralegal in the Residential Property team.
Prior to joining MWB I worked for a local Lewes firm where I specialised in residential property transactions for 5 years.
I am currently part way through the Level 7 Solicitors Qualification with BPP. I hope to continue to develop my knowledge with a view to qualifying as a solicitor in the future.
Outside of work I love to travel, socialise with family and friends and go to Pilates.
I am a partner in the family department. I'm a trained collaborative solicitor and mediator and have been practising in the field of family law for over 30 years.

Chloe is a Residential Property Sales Assistant.
She joined the firm in February 2018 as Client Services Assisstant and then joined the New Enquiries team.
Prior to joining Mayo Wynne Baxter she worked in the Bridal Gown industry, where she enjoyed the high level of customer service and opportunity to build relationships with clients.
In her spare time Chloe enjoys camping and walking. She also enjoys baking for her family and friends.
I joined MWB in the summer of 2023 as a Residential Property Paralegal in the Storrington office.
Alongside my role as a Paralegal, I am also studying to become a Licensed Conveyancer. I have been working in residential conveyancing for over 3 years, and during this time I have dealt with a variety of cases. I hope to continue developing my knowledge with a view to becoming a Licensed Conveyancer in the future.
