With more than 35 years or architecture experience, Brian helps lead the firm's business strategy. From proposals and contract negotiations through construction documents, construction observation and project close-outs, Brian has successfully led many of our complex projects. An effective communicator with a thoughtful demeanor, his expertise includes: historic restoration, reconstruction and tenant improvement; adaptive reuse of historic and non-historic structures; HABS and HAER documentation; military and commercial projects; warehouses; and, custom single-family residences. Brian meets the Secretary of the Interior's Qualification Standards under Architect and Historic Architect.

Historic architecture often begins with extensive research, and this is where Camille's expertise is a must. She provides research for Heritage's preservation planning division which is one of our busiest sectors.
Her projects include research for the Quieter Home Program conducting field surveys, research, evaluation and report production to comply with Federal Section 106 requirements. In addition, Camille performs historic and archival research for projects such as The Golden Door and the Escondido Ice House.

Carmen has more than 20 years of experience in the field of historic preservation architecture. With work throughout the western United States, Carmen has directed all phases of architecture including research, field investigation, recordation to design, construction documentation and administration. She is responsible for a variety of construction projects including rehabilitation, adaptive reuse, code and life-safety upgrades, preservation, restoration and relocation projects involving some of our region's most recognizable architectural resources. Carmen is an expert in historical documentation including HABS/HAER, Historic Structure Reports, Conditions Assessments, Feasibility Studies, and Maintenance Manuals.

As President, David is one of the firm's leaders who helps oversee the business, while tackling some of our larger architectural projects. He has been intimately involved in the assessment, rehabilitation and restoration of many of San Diego's landmarks including the world-famous Hotel del Coronado, Spreckels Organ Pavilion, Western Metal Supply Co., House of Hospitality and the new International Cottages in Balboa Park.
He is a well-known expert in the field of preservation architecture and has served as Board President of the California Preservation Foundation and was a member of San Diego's Historical Resources Board for six years. He is currently Chair of the AIA San Diego Preservation Committee and authored two books, ‘San Diego's Balboa Park' and ‘Forgotten San Diego.' David is also frequently featured in videos and publications, speaking about preservation and architecture.

Diana's architectural knowledge and attention to detail has been very helpful to the firm. She leads our field survey team and helps generate complex construction documents. Diana also interfaces with multiple city agencies to obtain required approvals and is adept at creating perspective drawings and 3D presentation models.
Projects she has completed for us include the Hotel del Coronado field measurement, HABS documentation, and sketch-up model of the hotel's existing and proposed entry restoration. She's completed field work and HABS drawings for the Scottish Rite Event Center in Mission Valley, detailed construction documents for the Scripps College Building Renovation project and for the Scripps Jones House in Hillcrest.

Eileen leads our preservation planning services. With over 25 years of experience, she has travelled throughout the western states participating in all phases of preservation planning including research, site surveys, building and site assessments and master planning. She is well-known as a leader throughout California specializing in preservation planning for cities, non-profits, private developers and property owners. Every project is very unique, and Eileen contributes her talent and knowledge to uncover individual solutions that helps meet our clients' goals and has brought recognition to the firm with many prestigious awards.
Her projects include determination of eligibility reports for local, state and national designations; CEQA and Section 106 technical reports; master plans; historic context statements; local surveys; HABS documentation; historic structure reports; and museum conservation assessments.

As our QHP department continues to grow, Jonathan is a lead researcher for the program. He regularly conducts field surveys, research and provides property data management for every QHP project. Often, Jonathan collaborates with other QHP professionals to evaluate the properties selected for the program and to meet local, state or national registration criteria.

Joy's dedication to the firm spans nearly thirty years. She knows all the ins and outs of the day-to-day running of the business and leads the firm's financial strategy and direction. Joy provides oversight of the accounting, shareholder relations, taxes, licensure and internal audit functions to ensure the company's continued success.

With over 18 years of experience in the architectural profession, Leena has played major roles in the design of custom homes, mixed-use, retail and other commercial projects.
She is adept at preparing documentation for the rehabilitation of existing buildings, including reconstruction, and has written documentation for the Historic American Buildings Survey (HABS). Leena is often a part of the Heritage team working on the Quieter Home Program.

Sheryn brings her unique perspective to our firm through her experience as a designer working for a global architecture firm. There she specialized in hospitality, sports and residential projects. Her focus for Heritage centers on our Quieter Home Program (QHP). The goal of QHP is to reduce interior noise levels in homes that are eligible, through the research she performs. She conducts architectural field surveys and generates floor and site plans for the program.
A quiet yet driven professional, Stuart has been with the firm for over thirty years. He participates in architectural phases ranging from conceptual design through construction administration. He has an acute awareness of the special challenges associated with the process of rehabilitation and restoration of historic buildings, and he continues to build Heritage's distinguished portfolio of projects. He brings his expertise in historical documentation for projects requiring Historic American Building Surveys (HABS), Historic Structure Report (HSR), Conservation Assessment Programs (CAP), Conditions Assessment Reports, and Feasibility Studies. He is the longest practicing preservation architect in San Diego's Gaslamp Quarter.

Tom has a over a decade of architecture experience specializing in building relocation, historic rehabilitation, new construction and historic building additions. A dedicated designer, Tom received his architectural license in 2017 and is one of our passionate project architects.
