Dave and his team developed and now implement the proprietary Assent 143 (ARO) and Assent Leases software applications. He also was the CFO of an INC 500 software company from 1998 to 2000. Dave currently serves on the board of directors for the Colorado Society of CPAs and the River Deep Foundation. His emphasis was on building a talented team with diversified skills focused on integrated business solutions and client service. Mike has decades of experience in helping corporations navigate complex tax issues and business challenges serving clients in all verticals including exploration and production, refining, oilfield services, and independent power producers. As the US and Global Tax Energy Industry Leader for Oil and Gas with KPMG, Mike directed the firm's tax services for the energy industry. He was a founding member and regular speaker at KPMG's Annual Global Energy Conference from its inception in 2002 through 2019. Mike consistently provided comprehensive tax services to clients with a focus on the energy industry including exploration and production, refining, marketing, field service, and independent power producers. Steve Kennedy - Managing Director

Professional Experience Steve joins Opportune as a Managing Director for Business Development. Mr. Kennedy has more than 35 years of experience in energy banking, having spent 25 years with Amegy Bank as the EVP & Head of Energy Banking. Here, Steve formed an energy banking group to make upstream energy reserve-based loans (RBLs) to E&P companies and expanded the energy group to include midstream, downstream, and oilfield service energy lending. During his tenure, he was also able to grow energy loan commitments from $0 to a peak of $6 billion by 2012, with $3 billion of loans outstanding. Steve then became the Founder and Senior Advisor for Amegy Bank. In this role, he was able to advise Amegy's executive management, energy banking team, and credit officers regarding matters affecting the energy banking market. His position gave him the ability to interact with existing and prospective energy clients to maintain healthy relationships and promote new ones. He has also held Energy Banking roles with both Wells Fargo and Bank One earlier in his career, growing those energy portfolios and helping to manage clients while strengthening relationships. Mr. Kennedy holds an MBA in Finance from Baylor University and a B.S. in Petroleum Engineering from Texas A&M University. Prior to Gastar, he was the Financial Planning Manager at PetroPoint Energy Partners LP where his primary responsibilities included financial modeling, A&D evaluation, and business analytics. Before moving to PetroPoint, Trent worked for the Energy Investment Banking group of RBC Capital Markets and the Commercial Lending group of BBVA Compass.
