Caleb is Vice President of Corporate Development of Opportune's Outsourcing practice based in Houston. Caleb has more than 15 years of dedicated energy finance experience, specializing in strategic financial planning, capital allocation, A&D/M&A evaluation and execution, investment banking, private equity, and joint venture integration. Before Opportune, Caleb served as Director of Finance at Callon Petroleum where he was responsible for commercial banking and capital markets activities, strategic financial planning, and treasury-related matters. Caleb joined Callon following 10 years of service at two E&P companies, having held the positions of both Vice President of Finance and Vice President of Treasury at Ensign Natural Resources, as well as Corporate Development and Finance Manager at Carrizo Oil & Gas. He began his career at GasRock Capital investing in small- to mid-sized E&P and midstream companies, and he subsequently was an investment banker in the Global Natural Resources Group at Barclays Capital.
Carl is a Partner at Opportune and serves as the Upstream Sector Leader and General Counsel. Carl has more than 25 years of business experience, including eight years as a partner with the national law firm Winstead and eight years as a senior executive in the Energy Industry. Carl and the Opportune team have unparalleled transactional experience in every major basin within the North America onshore and Gulf of Mexico for both upstream and midstream sectors, and have supported transactions ranging from $100,000 to $6 billion on behalf of financial buyers, foundations, new portfolio companies, large independents, publicly traded companies, utilities and mid-majors. Carl's primary focus as Upstream Sector Leader is providing right-sized solutions for clients. The Upstream team continues to successfully deliver by focusing on people, processes, data and systems. Carl is very active in the community, and especially the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Houston.

Dan brings more than 12 years of energy experience, having most recently served as Head of A&D Advisory at UBS where he directed all A&D and technical advisory efforts for the energy investment bank. He began his career as a geologist at Chevron, where he worked in various technical roles.

Dave Loucks is a Principal in the Complex Financial Reporting practice at Opportune based in Denver where he is primarily responsible for assisting clients with financial reporting for oil and gas operations. Dave is one of the country's foremost experts regarding the reporting of asset retirement obligations (ARO) and the standardized measure of oil and gas (SMOG). Dave and his team developed and now implement the proprietary Assent 143 (ARO) and Assent Leases software applications. Before joining Opportune, Dave spent 14 years in public accounting, where he managed the audit engagements of clients in the energy and software industries. He also was the CFO of an INC 500 software company from 1998 to 2000.
Dave currently serves on the board of directors for the Colorado Society of CPAs and the River Deep Foundation. The River Deep Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping military veterans and other individuals who have experienced physical, emotional, or psychological trauma - and those who assist them - to heal and re-engage in life through adventure, recreation, and a network of support.
Dave previously served as the treasurer for the Rocky Mountain Victim Law Center, a Denver-based not-for-profit law firm providing free legal services to victims of crime in Colorado through its Victim Rights Legal Services, Legal Information Network of Colorado, and Title IX programs.

Prior to her role as CMO, Emily was Opportune's Marketing Director, responsible for global marketing and communication. With 15 years of marketing experience and a decade of those at Opportune, Emily has been instrumental in strengthening the Opportune brand and accelerating the company's growth.
Emily and her team work collaboratively with experts across the firm to bring data-driven insights to Opportune clients and the industry. Her oversight includes marketing and brand strategy, client experience, events, content and digital marketing and corporate communications.

Glenn Hartfiel is a Principal in Opportune's Process & Technology practice. Glenn has over 25 years of experience providing clients with strategy, architecture, project management, and assessment across all areas of information technology (IT). His primary focus areas include mergers and acquisitions, IT operations, interim CIO services, enterprise infrastructure design, security architecture, and operations management. Before joining Opportune, Glenn worked at Sirius Solutions where he managed complex projects, including e-discovery litigation, M&A, and IT integration projects for various clients.
Gregg is a Managing Director who works across a number of Opportune's practices to include Complex Financial Reporting, Restructuring, and Transactional Advisory Services. Gregg has worked on engagements across the entire energy spectrum including service companies that support the space. His principal areas of expertise include assisting debtors or other stakeholders through in-court and out-of-court restructurings, providing buy-side due diligence services, and advising companies on complex financial reporting and financial planning matters. Gregg has experience in mergers and acquisitions, spin-offs, IPOs, troubled debt restructurings, and bankruptcies. His roles have included engagement and transactional responsibility for compliance matters, accounting, transactional due diligence, and valuation engagements. Gregg has experience serving as an expert witness, as well as a Chief Restructuring Officer.

John Beaird is Vice President of Ralph E. Davis Associates (RED), an Opportune LLP company, based in Houston. John has 39 years of oil and gas management, reservoir engineering, and petroleum economics evaluation experience. John began his career with Anadarko Petroleum Corp. in the Permian Basin overseeing Waterfloods and providing reservoir engineering and economic support for Anadarko's acquisition and exploration efforts. After 25 years with Anadarko in various technical and managerial roles, he left to co-found Legado Resources with the support of EnCap Investments. Legado pursued CO2 floods, as well as unconventional resource plays. The company was ultimately sold to Kinder Morgan. Before joining Opportune, John was an independent reservoir engineering consultant where he provided support for a variety of oil and gas clients with a primary focus on acquisitions in onshore oil and gas plays. Recent relevant experience includes the Permian, Western Gulf, Tx-La-Miss Salt, Mid-Continent, Denver-Julesburg, Wind River, Williston Basin, and Appalachian Basins.
John is a registered Petroleum Engineer in the State of Texas and holds a B.S. in Petroleum Engineering from Louisiana Tech University. He is also an active member of the Society of Petroleum Evaluation Engineers (SPEE).

Josh is the Partner in charge of the Complex Financial Reporting group of Opportune LLP, including oversight of the firm's Denver office. Josh has 25 years of experience in providing clients with technical research, capital markets and SEC reporting assistance. Josh and his team of over 30 professionals have led all financial statement and disclosure aspects of the Capital Markets process for dozens of IPOs, reverse mergers (de-SPAC transactions), and debt and equity private placements across multiple industries and all energy sectors. In addition, his team assists over 100 clients annually with researching, concluding, and reporting for the most complex transactions affecting their businesses. Prior to joining Opportune, Josh worked in the audit and global energy markets department with Deloitte & Touche, where he managed the audits of regulated gas and electric utilities, independent power producers, and energy trading entities.
Josh currently serves as an Independent Director of U.S. Energy Development Corporation, a private direct investment upstream operating company located in Arlington, Texas. In addition, Josh currently serves as Treasurer on the Board of Directors for Houston Producers Forum. He has previously served on the Board of Directors as Audit Committee Chairman of JP Energy (MLP), Trans Energy, and Voyager Oil & Gas. Specifically, as the Lead Independent Director of Trans Energy, Josh initiated and led the company's successful restructuring and ultimate sale to EQT - a transaction recognized by the M&A Advisor as a winner for the 2017 M&A Deal of the Year ($100MM-$200MM).

Kevin Cannon is a Principal in Opportune's Valuation practice based in Houston. He has more than 20 years of experience in client service and has performed business and asset valuations and provided corporate finance consulting since 2004. His specific experience includes valuations of businesses and assets for a variety of purposes for companies throughout the energy value chain and in other industries including business services and industrial manufacturing.
Kevin is a licensed CPA in the state of Texas and has FINRA certifications Series 63 and Series 79.

Before joining Opportune, she worked at the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB), serving as a member of the team leading the FASB's post-implementation efforts for the new revenue recognition standard. Mike is the Senior Partner-in-Charge of Tax for Opportune. He has 39 years of experience helping companies of all sizes navigate complex business and tax issues.
Before joining Opportune, Mike spent 37 years at KPMG, where he rose to become US and Global Tax Leader for the energy industry. He led the firm's tax practice in this segment, as well as the Houston Business Unit tax practice, providing strategic direction and oversight. His emphasis was on building a talented team with diversified skills focused on integrated business solutions and client service. Mike has decades of experience in helping corporations navigate complex tax issues and business challenges serving clients in all verticals including exploration and production, refining, oilfield services, and independent power producers.
As the US and Global Tax Energy Industry Leader for Oil and Gas with KPMG, Mike directed the firm's tax services for the energy industry. He was a founding member and regular speaker at KPMG's Annual Global Energy Conference from its inception in 2002 through 2019.
Mike consistently provided comprehensive tax services to clients with a focus on the energy industry including exploration and production, refining, marketing, field service, and independent power producers. He conducted engagements focused on tax minimization planning, post-merger integration, accounting, method reviews, ASC 740-related issues, and tax compliance co-sourcing.
Mr. Terracina was also responsible for growth strategy, operating results, and partner and personnel matters as he held the role of Houston Business Unit Partner-in-Charge of Tax at KPMG in 2011.
Mike earned an MBA and B.S. in Accounting from Louisiana Tech University where now serves on the Accounting Advisory Board. In addition, Mr. Terracina is a Board Member and the Finance Committee Co-Chair of the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Houston, and is an Executive Board Member and Audit Committee Chair for the Alley Theatre in Houston.
Professional Experience
As Chief People Officer for Opportune LLP, Nichole is responsible for overseeing the firm's people strategy, including human resources management, operations, talent management and talent acquisition, organization development, recruitment, learning and development, and diversity and inclusion efforts.
Before Opportune, Mrs. Jaggers was Head of Talent at BPX Energy, a wholly owned subsidiary of BP plc and the U.S. onshore oil and gas business within BP's Production and Operations organization, where she led all activities in recruiting, onboarding, talent management, learning and development, and reward. Recently, she led the design and implementation of workforce planning, a high potential leadership development program, and an end-to-end recruitment process. Mrs. Jaggers came to BP following several years in energy consulting, having held the positions of Human Resources Manager and Human Resources Assistant at Opportune.
Mrs. Jaggers holds a B.A. in Political Science with a Minor in Business from Texas A&M University. She also completed the High Potential Leadership Program at Harvard Business School's Executive Education and holds a Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification.
Paul is a Managing Director within the Valuation Advisory Services group at Opportune LLP. Paul has over 20 years of experience serving energy companies and specializes in assisting clients with complex valuation needs. Paul has extensive experience providing valuation services for financial reporting, tax, restructuring and management decision-making purposes. Prior to joining Opportune, Paul worked as a Director within PwC's Transaction Services group and a Vice-President with Duff & Phelps. He started his career in Arthur Andersen's tax practice. Paul is a CPA, a CFA Charterholder and has an MBA from The University of Texas at Austin where he specialized in Finance.
Randy L. Hill is a Partner at Opportune LLP with oversight of the firm's Dallas office. Randy is a seasoned professional services executive with vast experience serving Fortune 500 energy, chemical, transportation entities, and other commercial entities. Before Opportune, Randy was a Partner in KPMG LLP's audit business. During his more than 37-year tenure at KPMG, Randy amassed extensive experience in the development of various skills from working with Fortune 500 boards, corporate governance matters, advising on mergers and acquisition transactions, advising clients on complex audit and accounting matters involving GAAP and PCAOB standards, and assisting clients on capital market transactions. In addition, for almost a decade, Randy led the KPMG Dallas office audit practice where he was responsible for all performance aspects of the practice. Randy retired from KPMG in March 2021.

Ryan Senter is a partner with Opportune LLP who co-leads the Dallas office and is a senior leader of operational and financial improvement initiatives. He has over 25 years of experience advising both public and private companies in the energy, consumer/industrial products, healthcare, technology, and financial services sectors. Mr. Senter has previously served with prestigious global consulting and advisory firms, including Executive Managing Director at Riveron Consulting, Global Managing Director at Protiviti, and served as a Managing Director with Alvarez & Marsal. Ryan began his career with Accenture, where he worked in their Technology and Finance Performance Management solution groups.
Mr. Senter holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Mississippi and completed the Advanced Business Management program with Yale University School of Management. He actively serves in several board-level positions supporting charities and causes in the Dallas-Fort Worth area such as Cook Children's Medical Center, The Fort Worth Country Day School, and the James L. Steve Hendrickson is President of Ralph E. Davis Associates (RED), an Opportune LLP company. Steve has over 35 years of professional leadership experience in the energy industry with a proven track record of adding value through acquisitions, development, and operations.
Prior to joining Opportune, Steve was Principal of Hendrickson Engineering LLC, a licensed petroleum engineering firm focused on reserves assessment and property valuation supporting property acquisitions and divestitures. Steve began his career at Shell Oil as an engineer in Permian Basin waterfloods and CO2 floods. After 16 years at Shell, he focused on leading upstream oil and gas reserves evaluation/engineering projects serving in management or as an executive at several E&P companies, including El Paso Production Company, Montierra Minerals & Production LP and Eagle Rock Energy Partners LP. Steve is a licensed professional engineer in the states of Texas and Pennsylvania and holds an M.S. in Finance from the University of Houston and a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin. He recently served as a board member of the Society of Petroleum Evaluation Engineers (SPEE) and is a registered FINRA representative.
Professional Experience
Steve joins Opportune as a Managing Director for Business Development. Mr. Kennedy has more than 35 years of experience in energy banking, having spent 25 years with Amegy Bank as the EVP & Head of Energy Banking. Here, Steve formed an energy banking group to make upstream energy reserve-based loans (RBLs) to E&P companies and expanded the energy group to include midstream, downstream, and oilfield service energy lending. During his tenure, he was also able to grow energy loan commitments from $0 to a peak of $6 billion by 2012, with $3 billion of loans outstanding.
Steve then became the Founder and Senior Advisor for Amegy Bank. In this role, he was able to advise Amegy's executive management, energy banking team, and credit officers regarding matters affecting the energy banking market. His position gave him the ability to interact with existing and prospective energy clients to maintain healthy relationships and promote new ones.
He has also held Energy Banking roles with both Wells Fargo and Bank One earlier in his career, growing those energy portfolios and helping to manage clients while strengthening relationships.
Mr. Kennedy holds an MBA in Finance from Baylor University and a B.S. in Petroleum Engineering from Texas A&M University. He is a board member and immediate past President of the Petroleum Club of Houston, is a licensed pilot and an Eagle Scout.

Teresa has spent over 30 years in the oil and gas industry in various roles, including project management, software implementation, IT management, process analysis, software design, and development. Teresa has over 20 years of experience in all aspects of ION RightAngle, with an emphasis on trading and risk management.
Trent Determann is a Partner at Opportune LLP and leads the firm's Outsourcing group. He focuses on assisting companies with various business-related activities, including strategic initiatives, business analytics, financial reporting, transaction support and due diligence, and back-office outsourcing. He has extensive experience working in a variety of management and financial roles in the upstream sector while also managing oil and gas marketing and midstream relationships. Prior to joining Opportune, Trent was the CFO at Rebellion Energy II LLC where he was responsible for all financial, accounting, treasury, and risk management business activities. Prior to Rebellion, he was the Vice President of Finance at Gastar Exploration Inc. where he led multiple teams that focused on M&A, capital markets, financial modeling, business strategy, crude and gas marketing, and reservoir engineering. Prior to Gastar, he was the Financial Planning Manager at PetroPoint Energy Partners LP where his primary responsibilities included financial modeling, A&D evaluation, and business analytics. Before moving to PetroPoint, Trent worked for the Energy Investment Banking group of RBC Capital Markets and the Commercial Lending group of BBVA Compass.
Trent earned a B.S. in Finance from Louisiana State University. Trent was also selected as an honoree in Hart Energy's 2017 "Forty Under 40" for his exemplary achievements during his tenure at Gastar.
