After studying for a degree in nursing, she initially spent 10 years working as a midwife before obtaining an LLM in Medical Law and qualifying as a Solicitor in 2002. Since then, she has worked exclusively in clinical negligence, primarily undertaking claimant work, but with some experience working on defendant clinical negligence work too. Claire is particularly interested in gynaecology claims, and obstetric claims for both mothers and babies, of which her previous midwifery experience offers unique and valuable insight. In addition, she also has experience working on failed diagnosis cancer claims and surgical error claims. As someone that has always been committed to helping people within the medical profession, Claire is a naturally empathetic person and is able to build strong relationships with her clients with ease.
