DERWENT HOUSE

Derwent House is a grade two listed historic building in Matlock. The house was owned by The Knowles family in the 17th century. The estate originally included several of the surviving buildings... We have been letting Derwent House since 2008. Initially we lived in Sheffield and visited the property each week. Then in 2012 the opportunity to move to Matlock came up and we decided to make the move. We now live next door to Derwent House at Glendon, which is our Bed and Breakfast property. We love living in the area, being able to enjoy the town and countryside. It also allows us to say hello to our guests and be on hand if needed. We also regularly have groups who use Derwent House and book a room or two at Glendon, which is really convenient... We are proud that both Derwent House and our sister business Glendon Bed and Breakfast were selected to feature in the latest video from Visit Peak District.
