THE RIDGEWAY PRIMARY SCHOOL

The Ridgeway is a two-form entry primary school with a Nursery class with space for 26 children from their third birthday. Ours is a happy, diverse community and we work in partnership with parents at every opportunity... The Ridgeway is a therapeutic-thinking school, and this is reflected in our behaviour policy and in our daily practice. We expect children to be ready, respectful and safe - ready to learn, respectful of adults and of each other, and safe in their choices and conduct. Visitors to our school often comment on the calm, harmonious ‘feel' of our school. We know that happy children are the best learners, and staff balance high expectations with fun... We are also an OPAL school and we place high importance on the quality of play to develop creativity, imagination, cooperation, resilience, stamina and confidence through the opportunities offered at lunchtime.
