Alan Yates

Alan has extensive experience within education and is the former Headteacher of Great Sankey High School, having retired from this post in 2011. He is now the Chair of LiveWire Warrington and is responsible for leading their Board of Trustees. Alan loves sport; we will, however, forgive his taste in teams - Wigan Warriors and Manchester United! Alan is a true believer of the power of sport to change people's lives. Alan supports the Impact Key Pillar group and advises on the direction of travel with our education projects.

Andrew Brady

Conor Austin

Conor is 19 years of age, he joined then Foundation as a Young Trustee aged 13, becoming chair. He was part of our peer education programmes visiting Gambia and Kenya and has also played a role in mental health conferences and many other key events. He is also a member of the Royal Air Force Air Cadets and has reached the rank of Cadet Warrant Officer. Following his amazing work, he was awarded the role as the Lord Lieutenants Cadet for Cheshire, a position that supports the Lord Lieutenant in their official duties including Royal visits. He is currently completing a professional Hospitality Management and Operations Degree, at University College Birmingham, while working full time at the Park Royal Hotel in Stretton. Conor maintains his relationship with the Young Trustees and supports Pam with the People Key Pillar.

John Gartside

John was formerly Chair of Warrington NHS and has extensive senior management and leadership experience in a variety of public services. He has also been Leader of WBC overseeing the transition to a unitary authority, Chair of 5 Boroughs Partnership and a Board member of the Big Lottery Fund and Trustee of the national Spirit Trust 2012 (Olympic legacy organisation). John is a magistrate appointed 1979 and Deputy Lord Lieutenant of Cheshire. Current posts include founder trustee of the Tim Parry Johnathan Ball Foundation for Peace and chair of Warrington Disability Partnership. He was granted the Freedom of Warrington in 2004.

Karen was formerly Director of Legal Services at a leading telecoms company where she was responsible for delivering legal, commercial and regulatory services. Karen has over fourteen years of high level, hands-on legal, operational and industry expertise in both Corporate and Commercial matters. Karen is a very keen supporter of the Wolves and her family are season ticket holders in the Hall of Fame Lounge. Her young children regularly take part in Foundation activities. Karen supports the Director and the team through a mentoring and listening role that supports the Director with Performance Development Reviews.

Pam Eden

Pam has worked in the telecoms industry for 13 years in various network planning roles, currently a project manager for site infrastructure builds and upgrades. She is a former Territorial Army Royal Signals Lance Corporal, followed ‘the Wire' since moving to Warrington in 2000. She has since volunteered to take part in the Heritage Lottery Funded ‘Game Changers' programme in 2015 and has been an integral part of developing the Volunteer programme. Outside of work she is motivated by medal bling and keeps herself fit by taking part in triathlons and running races. Other interests include rock music and art and craft.?

Pat Kitto

Pat worked at Warrington Collegiate for 29 years before retiring from her post as Assistant Principal in 2008. Pat then worked for 5 years as Community Learning Manager for the Warrington Borough Council, finally retiring at the end of 2013. She is now volunteering her time to be a Trustee for Warrington Disability Partnership as well as The Foundation. Pat leads the Governance Key Pillar and is an active participant in many Foundation activities and events.

Peter Astley MBE - Chairman

Peter is the Chief of Staff for the Police and Crime Commissioner in Cheshire. A former Local Authority representative who was responsible for public protection through local Trading Standards, along with environmental health and licensing services. He was awarded an MBE in 2011 for services to consumers in the North West. Peter is regarded as a Senior public sector leader with a wealth of experience at managing high-performing regulatory functions. He has is a specialist in developing, and delivering, IPC (Intellectual Property Crime) enforcement strategies for overseas governments, regulators and enforcement bodies. Peter played for community rugby league club Woolston Rovers and his family were fully involved in supporting the club. He also had the privilege of Captaining Great Britain ARL to South Africa in 1995. He was inducted into the Woolston Hall of Fame in 2019. Peter is very passionate about the town, its heritage and how the Foundation makes an impact on its community.
