Adam G. Trybus

My father, Adam G . Trybus, Sr. M.D., returned to his hometown here in Altoona in 1969 to practice family medicine for 30 years. My goal is to continue his tradition of compassionate care for the patients of this community. So my mission here at 611 MRI·CT is to maintain high-quality diagnostic examinations for our patients at the lowest cost in the area and to provide our physicians with high-quality image interpretations in a timely manner. I completed my undergraduate degree at the University of Notre Dame, and then I went to the University of Pittsburgh for my MD Degree. I did my Radiology Residency at Bryn Marw Hospital and an MRI Fellowship at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. After finishing my medical training, I returned to my hometown and became a staff member at Altoona Hospital where I worked for over 10 years. In 2002, I left to join 611 MRI·CT in State College. We then opened 611 MRI·CT in Altoona in 2004 and I have been practicing Radiology here ever since.

I manage, supervise, and hire all the staff and radiologists. I'm responsible for purchasing and negotiating the pricing on all equipment, too. I also negotiate service contracts, credential with the various insurance providers, and organize and supervise the day to day operations of the facility. I moved from New York to Pennsylvania in 1988 with my husband Paul and 4 daughters. In 1990, I started working at 611 MRI•CT in State College in billing and Medical Transcription. I worked with a business developer to update the equipment in the State College office, and in 1997, we installed the first open MRI in central Pennsylvania and the surrounding counties. I began a marketing program to visit potential referring physician offices and encourage referrals to the facility. In 2004, the same team that developed the State College facility decided to mirror that operation in the Altoona region.

Billing Manager

I oversee the billing department, which means I'm responsible for billing patient charges and posting insurance payments. I also do ICD-10 coding and provide stat reports when needed.Right out of high school, I began working for a company doing billing. But then I decided to go to the Computer Learning Network (CLN) in the evenings to continue my education in hopes of finding a better job. After graduation, I applied to 611 MRI•CT in State College and got the job. I started out as a check-in secretary but then gradually transitioned to the billing department. I have been with 611 MRI•CT for 12 years, and I have been managing the billing department for the last 3 years. This company is a wonderful company to work for, and I couldn't be happier. Most of my time outside the office is spent with my family and friends. I have a husband and two children that keep me very busy. We enjoy many things together such as taking walks with the dogs, playing at the park, and going to the movies. In my downtime, I enjoy exercising and reading books.
