8-KOI - Key Persons
Dean oversees the operations of our construction, healthcare, design engineering and technical services divisions. His extensive experience integrating business operations, strategies, planning and procedures will play a pivotal role in maintaining momentum of 8-koi's growth. Dean works closely with human resources, contracts and procurement, finance, marketing, facilities security, and IT to ensure 8-koi is ready and able to quickly transition and perform on new contract awards. As the former senior vice president for Comprehensive Health Services, former chief operating officer for Craig Technologies and decades of service in the U.S. Air Force, Dean's background and previous experience is an asset to our team and 8-koi's inner operations.
President Inga I. Young founded 8-koi fueled by her inquisitive nature and desire to be different - to do better than others, and to offer an easier and more efficient option to the government. Concentrating her decades-long background in DCAA-compliant contract accounting, Inga's astute knowledge of finance allows her to perform more cost-effectively across multiple disciplines with consistent quality-driven results. In 2022, the University of Florida recognized Inga's company in the Gator100 for being one of the fastest-growing businesses led by UF Alums.
Through peer learning alongside her leadership team, and guided by the Traction Entrepreneurial Operating System, Inga has been able to set and meet strategic goals with a focus on continual improvement to develop a diverse portfolio for 8-koi that includes government services contracts with agencies such as NASA, Department of Homeland Security, US Navy, US Air Force, and US Army Corps of Engineers. The Space Coast Chapter of Women in Defense (WID) honored 8-koi as the 2020 STEM Small Business Innovator of the Year for the company's work designing and building NASA's Lunabotics Competition Arena at Kennedy Space Center.

Krista joined the 8-koi Team in 2023 and brings with her a wealth of practical and administrative healthcare experience. Krista has been in Florida since 2005 and worked directly at the bedside in a variety of specialties with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Wyoming. After accepting a nonclinical role as Program Manager, Krista went on to earn an MBA in Healthcare Management from Saint Leo University. Krista lends leadership to our Healthcare Division with a passion for the business side of healthcare.

Otto was first hired at CDE in 2011 as a superintendent, safety officer and for quality control. He embodied three generations of construction business and experience as a former owner of an engineering and construction company that focused on design-build operations. As part of the leadership team, Otto understands the importance of guiding an organization under a singular direction and has an appreciation for each of the individuals that create the collective and unique culture of 8-koi.

Robert joined the Leadership team in 2022. He has a deep understanding of consulting engineering interfaced with the construction industry to help the company deliver complex projects on time and on budget for both commercial and government customers. Managing diverse teams on a variety of jobs, Robert strives for excellence by emphasizing interpersonal skills while leveraging his expertise in an array of project engineering disciplines.
