Abcare's vision is of the three Aboriginal nations, Gumbaynggirr, Bundjalung and Yaegl, people of all ages uniting to take responsibility in providing a culturally safe, respectful, caring and healing environment. An empowering, community-driven approach fosters and values truth telling, advocacy and self-determination and is responsive and adaptable to community needs and aspirations... After much discussion about how Abcare can help all our children and young people in our communities, we have decided to establish the Abcare Foundation... We aim to provide the highest of quality services and supports to Aboriginal people that enhance cultural values and empower Aboriginal communities.
