After leaving Chevron and becoming an independent consultant, KT saw opportunities to improve upon the CMMS design and started work on what would become the first 2-phase Accuflow design. A patent was filed and Accuflow was founded shortly after. Accuflow quickly gained traction in the industry, selling hundreds of separators in less than a decade, and became a trusted solution for well test measurement. Later, KT developed and patented the rest of our compact separator designs and water cut determination methods that we continue to utilize... Accuflow was founded by Ke-Tien (KT) Liu in 1994 with the idea of creating a new and innovative compact well test separator to advance the state-of-the-art in multiphase flow measurement for well testing. KT holds a PhD in chemical engineering from University of Wisconsin-Madison and pioneered several well test measurement methods that remain industry standards today, including water cut calculation by density and cyclonic gas-liquid..
