Belinda Coates - CEO

As CEO of sustainability-led engineering consultancy, ADP Consulting, Belinda is responsible for delivering the company's strategic vision and steers the national and international expansion of the business. Belinda has previously held leadership positions at global architectural firms Hassell and Woods Bagot, and most recently led the five-year strategic plan for quantity surveying firm Slattery - growing the business and its brand considerably over that period. From client engagement, market expansion and talent attraction to social impact, diversity and Reconciliation, Belinda believes building solid and authentic relationships is essential for a company's long-term success. Dedicated to creating meaningful impact in the property industry, she has been proactive in several industry associations throughout her career and spent four years on the Property Council of Australia's Diversity Committee. She is also the co-founder of the influential women's group, TEN Women, which aims to elevate the voices and experiences of women in the property industry.

Daniel Johnson

An experienced engineer with over two decades of experience working in the London market in senior executive roles, Daniel has a proven track record of delivering outstanding results while spearheading business growth and fostering solid, long-term relationships. Daniel is at the forefront of our growth in the UK, leading ADP Consulting's entry into the London market with a focus on the firm's strong sustainability offering across a wide range of sectors. Of particular interest will be build-to-rent, education, and asset revitalisation projects. Daniel has worked with many high-profile clients such as UBS, Cambridge University, GSK, and major racing brands, as well as within flagship buildings such as 1 Soho Place, 22 Bishopsgate and 5 Broadgate.

Gavin White

Gavin believes alignment between corporate and personal values is really important. With 30 years of experience, he approaches projects holistically rather than within the framework of a particular discipline and often finds ‘another way' to solve a problem. He relies on his career's backstory and his numerous project & sector experiences as a resource to provide insights. As Northern Regional Director, Gavin enjoys the opportunity to build a committed and talented group of engineers - our ‘great people'. This involves mentoring them to focus on the relationships with their internal and external teams, and on delivering excellence in engineering. The scale of our office enables both informal and formal review and critique, making sure the more junior engineers have the benefit of senior staff experience.

Jon Shally

As services are more about the feel of the space and less about the visual impact, Jon is considered in his approach to the architectural aspirations of his project. He works to integrate services inconspicuously throughout the built form to achieve a truly great environment for the end-user. Originally planning a pathway to becoming an architect, the engineering aspect was too strong a call. He completed a mechanical design degree, later discovering building services engineering which combined his love of architecture and engineering. Jon joined the ADP team in 2012 as a Senior Electrical engineer and has proven himself to be an excellent leader and team player. As the first member of the ADP team in Sydney, the responsibility was significant and what Jon describes as ‘a baptism of fire', but the opportunity to gain hands-on multi-disciplinary experience, project manage and gain insight into the operational side of a business has been a great experience.

Laurent Deleu - Founder

Laurent is a founding Director of ADP, leading innovative, creative, and free-thinking design on some of the most significant, most complex mixed-use developments in Australia. He is passionate about place-making and people-centred design, creating environments to enhance and complement the built form and allow people to interact easily within them. Taking a holistic multi-disciplinary approach to projects, Laurent will look at all aspects from thermal comfort and acoustics to specialist lighting and technology to ensure a comfortable and seamless experience for end-users. From an early age, Laurent wanted to create a better environment for our communities. He actively sought out a career where he could advocate for climate change and make a practical difference. With 50% of the energy consumed in all the world relating to buildings, engineering was the logical pathway to help him be part of this change. As ADP's Retail Lead, Laurent led the redevelopment of the Castle Towers Shopping Centre in Castle Hill and its transformation into a world-class retail offering and town centre. He provided clever and practical solutions to ensure minimal disruption to existing tenants and retail majors in the existing centre, a great challenge in a development of this size and complexity. Currently, he is leading West Melbourne Waterfront, a major mixed-use and community development, with a strong focus on bioclimatic design, sustainability, and well-being, leading our team in their innovative approach to increase human health and reduce operational and embodied carbon.

Michael Delaney

Spanning a 30-year career, Michael has formed lasting relationships with both clients and colleagues. He is passionate about ADP's vision to inspire a better world through influence and design and says for him, the value that underpins our vision is respect. Respecting the occupants who use the environments we create & respecting future generations by designing buildings in an environmentally sustainable way. Sustainability is at the forefront of what we do and being aligned with clients and project partners who have a similar vision and level of respect is important to him. Michael believes clients see the value of getting us involved earlier and have realised that if they want to create a truly great environment, it means involving us from the start. One of his standout projects is Chadstone Shopping Centre, where ADP is currently working on four projects. Michael has worked on this development since the beginning of his career. He has loved seeing the advances in technology and services and how these have benefited both the built environment and the customer experience. He also sees a great opportunity in retail right now to create significant public architecture and spaces that truly benefits our communities. Specialising in mixed use, retail, commercial, education, recreation and health sectors, Michael's expertise includes mechanical, fire safety and hydraulics. He has a degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Diploma in Fire Engineering, which has allowed him a holistic approach across multi-disciplinary projects, advising best approach to reducing costs, time and inefficiencies to deliver a great outcome for our clients.

Xavia Troeger

Xavia began her career as a mechanical engineer and has since specialised in fire engineering, both in fire protection design and fire safety performance-based engineering. She is passionate about raising the profile of fire safety within the industry and the importance of implementing innovative fire solutions on projects. Xavia is also passionate about promoting fire engineering as an exciting profession for graduates entering the property industry. Xavia has been a true advocate for sustainable engineering and design solutions, consistently driving thought leadership within the industry. She has actively shared her expertise through impactful presentations, emphasising the role of engineering and design in combating climate change. Her focus on Electric Vehicles and innovative Fire Safety Solutions has been particularly enlightening. Throughout her career, she has garnered experience across a range of sectors, including retail, civic, commercial, residential, health, defence, and industrial. Her landmark projects include the Gabba Stadium redevelopment and Commonwealth Games Carrara and Coomera sporting and entertainment centres. Through this work, she has developed expertise in CFD modelling, egress modelling for stadiums and high-population areas, and analysing security lines and the impact of media and athletes on buildings. Furthermore, she has made significant contributions to projects such as 101 Albert Street, River Street in Melbourne, Budds Beach Precinct, Pacific Epping redevelopments, Mater Springfield Hospital, and Valley Metro Redevelopment. Beyond her technical prowess, Xavia is passionate about raising awareness of fire safety and promoting fire engineering as an exciting profession. Paving the way for future female leaders in engineering, she actively engages with school students and female graduates entering the property industry, inspiring them to consider engineering a rewarding career path. At the very start of her career, Xavia was quickly thrown in the deep end when her team dropped to a team of two and describes the period as a ‘trial by fire'. Xavia rose to the challenge, delivering fire engineering across several sectors: from exhibition centres and hospitals to commercial and residential towers. This experience presented the opportunity to showcase her ability and has helped guide and shape her into the technical expert and leader that she is today.
