Abby Barnes

Abby Barnes was awarded her Doctor of Audiology degree in 2022 from West Virginia University. She obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Speech Pathology and Audiology with a minor in Psychology at Clarion University of Pennsylvania in 2018. She completed her audiology residency at Allegany Hearing & Balance. Dr. Barnes joined the Allegany Hearing & Balance team in June 2022, following her residency year. In addition to being board certified by the American Board of Audiology, she is also a fellow of the American Academy of Audiology and the Academy of Doctors of Audiology. She specializes in comprehensive adult evaluations, hearing systems and rehabilitation, and vestibular evaluations. Dr. Barnes is an active alumna of the Delta Zeta National Sorority, which has the philanthropy of speech and hearing. She is also a member of the Delta Zeta Global Ambassadors Society, which educates people about community service and philanthropy projects such as the Starkey Hearing Foundation, the American Society for Deaf Children, and the SeriousFun Children's Network. She enjoys advocating for people who experience hearing loss and vestibular dysfunction and has volunteered with many organizations related to the field. Dr. Barnes has even traveled to Guatemala to work with patients who use hearing devices. She lives in Cumberland with her two cats, Axel and Ace. When she is not in the office, she enjoys traveling, live music, and spending time with her family.

Alex Murray

Alex Murray was awarded her Doctor of Audiology degree in May 2021 from West Virginia University and her Bachelor of Science in Speech Pathology and Audiology in 2017 from Towson University. Alex completed her audiology residency at a private practice in Westminster, Maryland, and joined the Allegany Hearing & Balance Center team in June 2021. Dr. Murray is a board-certified audiologist and has a special interest in diagnostic testing for pediatrics and adults, hearing systems, and vestibular evaluations. Alex and her boyfriend live in Morgantown, West Virginia, and enjoy spending time with their dog, Zeus, playing ultimate frisbee, eating new foods, and exploring the parks and hiking trails in the area.

Arian Harden

Job Titles:

Arian joined Allegany Hearing & Balance Center in 2019. She graduated from Allegany College of Maryland in 2015 and has worked in the medical field ever since. Arian lives in Frostburg, Maryland, with her husband, Dylan, a cable technician with Comcast. They have one rabbit, Barry, and a dog, Callie. She enjoys traveling, whether it's day trips to somewhere close or week-long trips to somewhere new. She also enjoys spending the weekends with family and friends.

Chelsea Lambie

Chelsea Lambie was awarded her Doctor of Audiology degree in 2020, and her Bachelor of Science in Speech Pathology and Audiology in 2016, from West Virginia University. She completed her audiology residency at Allegany Hearing & Balance Center. Dr. Lambie joined the Allegany Hearing & Balance Center team in June 2020, following her residency year. In addition to being board certified by the American Board of Audiology, she is also a fellow of the American Academy of Audiology and the Academy of Doctors of Audiology. She specializes in comprehensive adult and pediatric evaluations, hearing systems and rehabilitation, cochlear implants, and vestibular evaluations. She has completed research topics including firearm noise effect on hearing as well as the relationship between hearing and cognitive ability in middle-aged adults. She has presented her research at the American Academy of Audiology annual conference. She and her fiancé Mark live in Southwestern Pennsylvania with their two cats, Kitty and Oscar; and their dog, Daisy. She enjoys kayaking in Youghiogheny lake as well as traveling around the world.

Chrissy Lemley

Chrissy Lemley, co-owner, was awarded her Doctor of Audiology degree in 2011 from West Virginia University. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in speech pathology and audiology as well as certification in geriatric studies. In addition to being board certified by the American Board of Audiology, she is a fellow of the American Academy of Audiology and the Academy of Doctors of Audiology, holds a certificate of clinical competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, and is an adjunct instructor and clinical supervisor at West Virginia University. Dr. Lemley joined the Allegany Hearing & Balance Center team in May 2014 but has practiced audiology since 2011 in an ENT setting, specializing in comprehensive adult and pediatric evaluations, hearing systems and rehabilitation, concussion evaluation and management, and cochlear implants. She and her husband, Seth, a photogrammetrist project manager, live in Blacksville, West Virginia, with their two daughters, Maggie and Josie; Nellie the dog; and cats Duke and Rusty. She enjoys spending time with them, curling up with a good book and a warm cup of coffee, watching hockey, and traveling.

Dana L. Eyler

Dana has an associate degree in applied science in information systems technology and medical office administration from West Virginia University Potomac State College. She joined Allegany Hearing & Balance Center in May 2012 and has 21 years of administrative and insurance billing experience. Born and raised in wild and wonderful West Virginia, Dana lives in the small town of Bayard with her husband, Steven ("Beefy"), and her two fur babies, Cole and Ci Ci. She enjoys being outdoors camping, four-wheel riding, hunting, fishing, taking pictures, and spending time with friends and family.

Dr. Sarah Hart

Sarah Hart completed her Doctor of Audiology degree at West Virginia University in 2020. She also obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Speech Language Pathology and Audiology from WVU. Sarah completed her residency at The Balance and Ear Center in Richmond, Virginia. She is a fellow of both the American Academy of Audiology and the Academy of Doctors of Audiology and is board certified by the American Board of Audiology. At Allegany Hearing & Balance Center, Dr. Sarah Hart specializes in comprehensive pediatric and adult evaluations, hearing systems, bone anchored hearing aids, and cochlear implants. She also specializes in balance testing and rehabilitation. When Sarah is not in the office, she enjoys hiking, traveling, hanging out with friends, and watching WVU football.

Haley Hixon

Haley Hixon was awarded a Doctorate in Audiology degree at West Virginia University in 2021. She obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Science and Disorders and a certificate in American Sign Language Studies at the University of Pittsburgh located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in 2017. In addition to being board certified by the American Board of Audiology, she is a fellow of the American Academy of Audiology and the Academy of Doctors of Audiology and holds a certificate of clinical competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. Dr. Hixon completed her residency at a Neurotology (ENT) practice in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, specializing in comprehensive adult and pediatric evaluations, hearing systems and rehabilitation, cochlear implant evaluations and management, as well as vestibular (balance) testing and rehabilitation. She also participated in auditory speech perception research in which she explored the effects of speaker identification in quiet and noisy situations. She is proficient in American Sign Language and enjoys working with individuals of the Deaf community. Dr. Hixon is pleased to return to her hometown of Cumberland and serve the community that allowed her to prosper. She is a certified yoga teacher and enjoys fitness and reading books (often, her latest find on American History). Her world revolves around her "kiddos" (cats) Binx and Max.

Jana Brown

Jana Brown, owner of Allegany Hearing & Balance Center, was awarded a Doctor of Audiology degree in 2004, from the Arizona School of Health Sciences in Mesa, Arizona. She also holds a Master of Science degree from West Virginia University. She is board certified by the American Board of Audiology; a member and past president of the Maryland Academy of Audiology; a fellow of the American Academy of Audiology, where she recently received her fourth Scholar Award; and a fellow of the Academy of Doctors of Audiology, which honored her with the Leo Doerfler Award in 2017. In addition, she holds a certification in vestibular rehabilitation and concussion management from the American Institute of Balance, and is an adjunct clinical supervisor at West Virginia University. Dr. Brown has practiced audiology since 1983, working the first eight years as an industrial audiologist in a steel mill and nuclear shipyard. She specializes in comprehensive adult and pediatric evaluations, hearing systems and rehabilitation, balance testing and rehabilitation, and concussion evaluation and management. Her volunteer work has included service on the executive board of the Dove Center, which helps individuals affected by domestic violence or sexual assault, and the board of trustees of Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing, which helps wounded veterans and active duty military personnel. She also serves on her church's finance committee. She lives in Oakland, Maryland, with her husband, Harold Harsh Jr., a retired fly-fishing guide, and their cat and dog. When not in the office, Dr. Brown enjoys traveling, hiking, reading, fly-fishing, and gardening but has little time to do any of it!

Jess Ringler

Jess joined Allegany Hearing & Balance in October 2022. She resides in Cumberland, MD with her fiancé Brian and their three kids. Brian is an Electrician out of 307. They enjoy taking family vacations to Disney and spending time with family. Jess and her family have a cat named Tigger.

Kari Harsh

Kari Harsh earned her Doctor of Audiology degree in 2011 from West Virginia University and also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in speech pathology and audiology. She is a fellow of both the American Academy of Audiology and the Academy of Doctors of Audiology and is board certified by the American Board of Audiology. At Allegany Hearing & Balance Center, Dr. Harsh specializes in balance testing and rehabilitation, comprehensive adult and pediatric evaluations, and hearing systems and rehabilitation. When not in the office helping community members hear and live their best, she loves to travel, especially internationally, and enjoys coming home to Aurora, West Virginia, and to her two dogs, Ben and Solo.

Krista Phillips

Krista joined Allegany Hearing & Balance Center in 1994. Initially hired part time to handle filing, she quickly became full time and has worked her way into the office manager position. She graduated from Beall High School in Frostburg, Maryland, where she lives with her husband, Jeff, a conductor and engineer with CSX. They have two children - son Shane and married daughter Shyler. They also have a spoiled dog, Kru; ornery cat, Jema; and a very rotten cat, Jax. Krista loves spending time with her family and looks forward to hopefully becoming a grandmother in the next couple of years. She also enjoys reading; camping in their new camper; spending time with friends; and being a meowmy to Fritz, our office cat.

Mary Lou Dawson

Mary Lou joined Allegany Hearing & Balance Center in 2014. She resides in Garrett County, Maryland, with her husband, Erich; their daughters Emily, Luci, and Katy; three cats; a dog; a bunny; and some chickens. Their son, Andrew, is currently enlisted in the Navy. They've also been blessed with a daughter-in-law, Courtney, and twin granddaughters, Willow and Lily. Outside the office, Mary Lou enjoys baking, hunting, fishing, and cheering on the girls at their performances, softball games, and track meets. She also loves going on motorcycle rides with Erich. She's a huge fan of Southern Garrett High School, West Virginia University Mountaineer and Pittsburgh Steelers football. Her kids know never to bother her during a Steelers game!

Trisha Chapman

Trisha joined Allegany Hearing & Balance in 2021. She is from a small town in West Virginia. Trisha resides in her hometown where she lives with her Fiancé, Allen. They have two dogs named Diesel and Turbo. They also have one too many chickens and turkeys. Outside of work, Trisha enjoys kayaking, riding, hunting, and fishing. Also, she enjoys spending all the time she can with her family and friends.
