ALEX R

Alex R is a London-based glass artist who creates work that is opulent and seductive for a growing client base. From sumptuous glass vessels or wall-hung lightboxes to architectural installations of sparkling glass, intricately tactile surfaces are the signature style of Alex's work in glass. Chromatic colour themes and baroque pattern or texture are all expressed with the reflection or projection of light in the glass... On graduating Central Saint Martins' respected Postgraduate course in 2005, Alex won the Stevens Competition for Architectural Glass Design and she was subsequently invited to create a glass installation for University College Hospital. This coincided with Alex establishing her studio, working on glass projects for public and private clients, and winning further accolades and prizes for her work.
