Mahmoud Abouamer

Engineer Mahmoud Abouamer is among the most experienced and successful construction executives in the Middle East and beyond. An electrical engineering graduate of Cairo University, he joined Al-Hani in 1974 and rose through its ranks to become its CEO and a managing partner. He has overseen some of the most complex and challenging construction projects in Kuwait, delivering them to the highest technical standards, often in record time, while maintaining profitability. Since becoming CEO, he has gradually led the company to its second "golden age" winning major projects such as the record-breaking Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Cultural Centre, delivered in a record 22 months.

Mr Omar Al Qattan - Chairman

Educated at Oxford University, Omar co-chaired the Group from 2006 to 2017 and became sole chair upon the passing of its founder Abdel Mohsen Al-Qattan. Omar's career has included many years in the film and television industry, and wide-ranging philanthropic interests across the region, with a particular interest in institution-building in the fields of education and culture. As a co-founding chair of two major instituions, including the family charity AM Qattan Foundation, he brings thirty years of experience in institutional governance, strategy, leadership and financial management.

Mr. Faisal Al Mutawa

Job Titles:
  • Member of the Board of Directors
Faisal is one of the sons of our co-founder, the late Hajj Khaled Youssef Al-Mutawa and has a number of other business interests in Kuwait and the UAE. He is a member of the company's audit committee and oversees its human resources department.
