Diego Serebrisky - Managing Director

Prior to joining Alta Ventures, Diego collaborated with Advent International, a global private equity fund. He spent 12 years in their Mexico City office, and then relocated to Bogota, Colombia, where he launched the office in 2011. While at Advent, Diego focused on the whole investment process including new deals analysis, investment monitoring and divestments. He participated in more than 13 investments in different sectors including financial services, business services, pharmaceutical, retail and technology.

Lisandro Bril - Managing Director

Prior to joining Alta Ventures, Lisandro Bril founded Booz Allen Hamilton in Argentina, and was its Managing Director. He worked in South America (Argentina, Brazil, Colombia and Chile ) financial services, automotive industry restructuring, privatization and diversification of conglomerates in the chemical and steel industries, both in the public and private sector. Retired as Chairman of the Advisory Board of Booz Allen Argentina. Lisandro Bril, is the Founder and Managing Partner of AxVentures -Pymar and Holdinvest Technology Funds. He is currently invested and sits on the Board of five companies: Keclon (Biotech), ZauberLabs (Social Media), GranData (Big Data), Pixowl (Mobile games), Technisys (Banking software applications). Mr. Bril is Member of the Advisory Board and Investment Committee of CITES - Centro de Innovación Tecnológica, Empresarial y Social, Grupo Sancor (Center for Technological, Business and Social Innovation, Sancor Group). Focused in Biotechnology, Nanotechnologies and Information Technologies with global scale up potential The trajectory of Mr. Bril in the field of Venture Capital is associated with his pioneering experience during the 90s as Angel investor (Graphical Information Executive Support System sold to Oracle); CEO of BGS Seed Capital Fund in Latin America -Argentina, Brazil, Mexico and Venezuela) and CEO i5/Hicks Fund in Argentina, those funds invested U.S. $ 17.5 MM in emerging technology companies. The fund was able to repay money to investors through the successful case of Amtec Software Company, now Neoris. Invested in Despegar (now Tigger -Sequoia), as well as Bonvivir,Comunia, B2B Latin America, PalmSite, Gemelo. Prior to this, Mr. Bril founded Booz Allen Hamilton in Argentina, and was its Managing Director. Retired as Chairman of the Advisory Board of Booz Allen Argentina As Management consultant Mr. Bril also worked for seven years as Partner at both Spencer Stuart and Korn/ Ferry, the Executive Search firms. Leading the Board and Corporate Governance Practice, and Searches for CEOs and first level reporting executives . As well as the Management Assessment Practice Between 1985 and 1989, he was Undersecretary of State for Foreign Trade and, as such, he was responsible for the administration of exports and imports and for the exports promotion policies of Argentina's non traditional sectors. He actively participated in the creation of MERCOSUR.

Michael Wolfgramm - Managing Director

Mike Wolfgramm joined the Alta Ventures team in January 2013 as Managing Director, bringing with him deep expertise in a wide range of areas, with special emphasis in high tech. He was the Chief Technology Officer at Ancestry.com. In this role, he was responsible for orchestrating the product development and delivery of the company's global technologies and services including www.ancestry.com and www.genealogy.com, In addition, Mr. Wolfgramm had responsibility for the companies Web Operations, IT and IS organizations. In addition, Wolfgramm had responsibility for the companies Web Operations, IT and IS organizations. Wolfgramm held multiple positions, including SVP of Engineering, VP of Development and Senior Director of Development since 1999. Wolfgramm's leadership at Orem-based Ancestry helped the company revolutionize web-based genealogy. His specific contributions helped grow the enterprise significantly resulting in an IPO in Nov 2009. Ancestry.com was recently purchased by Permira www.permira.com for $1.6 billion in December 2012. Wolfgramm received several technology patents during his tenure at Ancestry.com and was named a member of the vSpring Capital Top 100 Venture Entrepreneurs (v|100). Wolfgramm was also selected to serve on Microsoft's Technical Computing Executive Advisory Council ("TC EAC") which was composed of thirty-five distinguished researchers and leaders in Technical and High Performance Computing. Previously Mike served as Director of Development and Senior Architect at Cambridge-based Open Market Inc., an innovator in electronic publishing and e-commerce where he managed the development efforts of the award winning infobase technology application reaching 35 million customers worldwide. Wolfgramm served in senior development roles at a number of other successful technology and web-based businesses. He began his career at Wordperfect Corporation in Orem, UT. Mike holds a B.S. in Computer Science from Brigham Young University.

Paul Ahlstrom - Founder, Managing Director

Paul Ahlstrom, Managing Director and co-founder of Alta Ventures Mexico a venture capital fund focused in Mexico. In 2000, Mr. Ahlstrom co-founded vSpring Capital, Utah's leading venture capital fund. In 2007, Mr. Ahlstrom co-founded Alta Growth Capital, based in Mexico City and Kickstart Seed Fund based in Salt Lake City. Over his career, Mr. Ahlstrom has directly participated in more than 90 venture capital investments and represented vSpring Capital on the boards of Ancestry.com which was sold in 2007 to a private equity firm and went public in 2009 (NASDAQ:ACOM), GlobalSim, which was sold to Kongsberg Maritime (KOG - Oslo Stock Exchange), Senforce, which was sold to Novell (NASDAQ: NOVL), and Altiris (NASDAQ:ATRS), which went public and was then sold to Symantec. (NASDAQ: SYMC). Mr. Ahlstrom has also served on the boards of many successful venture back startups including Rhomobile, Public Engines www.crimereports.com, Aeroprise, 7degrees, The American Academy and FamilyLink In addition to fund creation and investment experience, Mr. Ahlstrom has direct entrepreneurial and operating experience, having personally founded multiple startups. Prior to founding vSpring Capital in 2000, Mr. Ahlstrom was founder and CEO of Knowlix Inc., a Knowledge Management IT company which raised venture capital financing from Dominion Ventures and UV Partners in 1998. Ahlstrom led the sale of Knowlix to Peregrine Systems in 1999 which was in turn sold to Hewlett Packard (NYSE: HPQ). Mr. Ahlstrom is a Founding Member of the BYU Center for Entrepreneurship and Technology and currently serves on the executive committee and board for the University of Utah's Technology Commercialization Office which is ranked number one in university generated spinouts in the United States. Mr. Ahlstrom previously served as trustee for the Utah Technology Council and other community boards and has also served multiple years as a member of Motorola Corporation's Visionary Research Board, (NYSE: MOT). Mr. Ahlstrom earned his B.A. in Communications from Brigham Young University. Mr. Ahlstrom has also received an honorary doctorate from the Netanya Academic College in Netanya Israel.
