George Phillips - CFO

In 1995 George decided he had had enough of the corporate word and left to begin a new adventure with Marianne. What began as a window covering business has grown to a complete design center under George's careful eye and keen business sense.George is an avid guitar fan and plays almost every day. Ask George how many guitars he owns? He also enjoys playing golf and keeping up on his favorite sports teams.

Jennifer Crossan

Originally from Scotland, Jennifer came to Arizona and received her degree in Interior Design from Scottsdale Community College. She has experience in all areas - from flooring to countertops to window treatments. She is your go to girl. Her motto is "Vision is the art of seeing what's invisible to others." Jennifer has been with her partner, Frank, since 2009 and together they have a son, Frankie, born in 2016. As a family they love to travel and discover new places, while still going to Scotland every year to visit family. Jennifer has a multi-generational household, including Millie, a rescue pit bull. Never afraid of a challenge, Jennifer has installed window coverings, laid laminate, wood and tile floors, installed kitchen counter tops, backsplash and shower surround, even artificial turf. Some things she would never attempt again, while others it wouldn't be a problem!

Kelly Guy

Kelly grew up in upstate NY. She attended a community college where she got her Associates degree in Interior Design. She moved to NYC where she worked as a Designer for an office furniture company working all over NYC and Long Island. After being in NYC for a while she relocated to Atlanta Georgia where she attended college at AIU and graduated with a Bachelors in Fine Art. Kelly has extensive experience doing Commercial Interior Design and Residential Interior Design. She has been working as an Interior Designer her entire career and loves it. Kelly is also a certified Lighting Designer with ALA and has worked for many years as a Lighting Designer prior to joining the Altra Home Décor team. Kelly is very happy to be a part of the Altra Home Decor team.

Marianne Phillips

Marianne has been designing since 1996 and owned Altra Home Décor with George since 2005. She enjoys developing long term relationships with her clients and is thrilled when they return for another project. She is a certified Hunter Douglas window treatment expert and will happily find the right treatment for you. Kitchen and bath design are also a passion of hers and she has created many beautiful designs for her clients. When not busy at work she enjoys cooking and trying out new recipes on George.

Sue Roberts

Sue relocated to Sun City West from the San Francisco Bay Area, where she spent the majority of her career working in the High Tech Industry in Silicon Valley. She worked in the Administrative Management field from start-ups to large corporations and spent many years as Inside Sales support. But her real passion has always been decorating and organizing. She is thrilled to be part of the team at Altra Home Decor and knows her keen sense of Customer Service will easily be applied as she meets new clients visiting the Showroom. In Sue's spare time she enjoy combining travel with photography and always seem to have her hand in remodeling and interior painting projects whether for herself or friends. Her favorite road trips are to Prescott and Sedona and enjoy cooking with friends.

Ted Butler

Ted is Altra Home Decor's Master Installer with over 30 years of window covering experience. Ted grew up in a family owned and operated flooring business but in 1985 he was introduced to the window covering industry which allowed him to learn another trade. Ted then spent the next 10 years in Lake Tahoe, NV and Sacramento, CA installing custom draperies, blinds, and shutters before moving to Arizona. Throughout his career he has had the opportunity to attend classes and seminars to improve his craft. One of these was the IDA's (International Drapery Association) Rockhurst University Continuing Education Center for Management Skills for first-time supervisors to improve customer care. Ted became a Certified Hunter Douglas Installer in 2003 and received his Master's Certification a few years later. He continues Hunter Douglas's online training courses for unique and new products. Ted is licensed, bonded, and insured. Ted is very knowledgeable about all types of window treatments which enables him to be more hands-on in fixing and or repairing any products on the job site. What does Ted do when he's not working? Some of his hobbies include working on his vintage cars, fishing, baseball, RVing, spending time with his two cats, Willow and London, and working around the house when needed. Growing up in Placerville, California, Ted helped his Dad and Grandfather build two houses which makes him quite the handyman these days. No, he doesn't hang pictures. Ted enjoys working with the staff at Altra Home Decor and making sure the installation process runs as smoothly as possible for the clients.

Wafa Hasoon

Wafa joined Altra Home Décor in late 2019 and she is a huge asset to our Family. She is the creative genius in our Workroom and produces beautiful drapery panels, cornices, valances and bedding as well as everything else we send her way. She is truly amazing at everything she does. She turns fabric scraps into gorgeous items like tote bags, pillows and aprons. Wafa feeds us gourmet, home cooked deliciousness always made from scratch and she gets great JOY in giving. She makes a family member of everyone she meets. She has a very generous heart. Besides us, Wafa loves spoiling her husband, 3 sons and 2 grandchildren, and soon to add another granddaughter to her beautiful family. She is a very talented artist and in her spare time loves painting with watercolors and oils.
