Jay Cohen is an award-winning residential property manager with more than 35 years of experience in portfolio, on-site, and asset management. He is also a licensed real estate broker, and a licensed insurance, property, and casualty broker. During his long and distinguished property management career, he has run multimillion-dollar building upgrade projects - from facades to roofs, windows, major plumbing upgrades, boiler replacements, gas and oil conversions, elevator modernizations. He developed an expertise at contract management and has the depth of knowledge needed to work alongside major engineers and contractors. Mr. Cohen is proud of the successes he has had in employee retention, training and implementation for the firm's client properties, and he sits as the Assistant Secretary on most of his client boards. He has molded A. Michael Tyler's success into a technologically driven management firm. He is implementing new technologies for clients - from financial systems that modernized accounts receivable and accounts payable, and systems that increase the efficiency of the firm's closing department. Mr. Cohen is always looking to modernize and increase revenue for his buildings - including solar energy, electrical upgrades for EV, building services contracts, and the negotiation of major capital repairs. Being prepared has paid off for A. Michael Tyler. Under Mr. Cohen's leadership, the firm was thoroughly prepared for the challenges presented by the Covid-19 pandemic. Far in advance of the pandemic, he made sure his entire staff had the technology needed to work from home. They never missed a beat. Mr. Cohen plans to continue his leading-edge style of management, making sure his clients and his firm are always far ahead of the curve.
