Crissy joined AMS in September 2015. Her primary responsibilities are bookkeeping, payroll preparation, and tax preparation. She grew up in Indiana, an only child to very hardworking parents. Their strength greatly influenced her drive and commitment. Crissy was fortunate enough to meet the love of her life, Dave, in 1998, and married him 1 month later. They spent 8 years in Spokane, Washington as her husband progressed through the ranks in the Air Force. In 2000 and 2003, they welcomed their beautiful daughters Arianna and Savannah. Also, during that time Crissy began her degree, focusing on Accounting and Bookkeeping.
In 2005, the family relocated to central California to be near her husband's family. While there, she excelled in the banking industry, being promoted to Assistant Branch Manager in less than 2 years. In 2008, they returned to her husband's hometown of Indio, and she spent 2 years focusing on her family and volunteering with local nonprofit organizations. In 2010, Crissy and Dave began their own business. With her prior experience, and Debbie's guiding hand, they were successful for 5 years. When the opportunity presented itself to join AMS, Crissy jumped at it. Since arriving,
Crissy has become an Enrolled Agent (EA), a federally licensed tax practioner with unlimited practice rights before the IRS. She is truly honored to serve you in this capacity and looks forward to getting to know you in the years to come.
Debbie established AMS Tax Service, Inc over 35 years ago. What started as a small business with the goal of sending her kids to private school, she has left a legacy that has grown into a thriving full service financial firm. After 4 long years of battling cancer, Debbie passed away in April of 2022, leaving AMS in the hands of her dear and capable son, Richard Mangus.
Even in business, Debbie strived to be an encouragement to all. She was always very proud of her staff-their accomplishments, commitment, and dedication to serving others. AMS began as a family business and continues on through generations of families, both in staff and clients.
Outside the office is where Debbie's "real life" was. She married her husband in 1976. They are blessed with 2 children and 7 grandchildren. She was always very active in her church and lived out her faith every single day.
It is pronounced Gary. Yes, she is a girl. It is a family name passed on from her late father. Garri joined our team in January 2016. Garri is thrilled to have rejoined the AMS family after returning to her hometown after being gone for 12 years.
In 2009, Garri received her Bachelors in Business Administration with a focus in finance from the University of La Verne in Pomona, CA. After graduating, she discovered her passion for personal finance and decided to pursue a career where she could help people learn and improve their personal financial life. In 2009, she held her licenses for the Series 6, Series 63, and CA insurance and began working as a protégée to become a financial advisor.
Various opportunities and circumstances moved Garri and her husband from Southern California, to New York City, and then to Peoria, Illinois. There she continued her career in personal finance at a local credit union as a Loan Officer, Personal Banker, and Lead Teller. She has enjoyed every position that she has held, and tax preparation has been no exception. The most satisfying part of her job is to give her clients peace of mind and help them survive tax time.
Garri joined AMS as a tax preparer and holds her CTEC Licensing with the State of California and is Licensed as an Enrolled Agent with the IRS. She received her Master's in Accounting in July of 2017. She also helps with AMS events and marketing. The AMS annual Shred Day has become one of her favorite events.
Currently, her family consists of her husband, herself, and their son. Garri and Kellen married in 2011, and in April of 2015, they welcomed their son, Keegan, into their family. When not at work, Garri enjoys being home with her family, spending quality time with extended family in Northern California and in Illinois, Traveling, and volunteering at church.
Hollie joined our AMS team in 2012, during her time at AMS, she has excelled in expanding the bookkeeping and payroll department. She is also a notary, who has assisted in many legal matters. With her, she brings 20+ years of business management and bookkeeping in the construction industry. She was the sole manager of accounting, HR, and vendor relations for a high-end general contractor, including his personal finances.
On a daily basis, she juggled contracts, schedules and legalities for multiple contractors at a time, as well as, an HOA corporation. She executed well over 30 multi-million-dollar projects from start to finish.
Hollie is the calming presence in the office. She has an innate ability to bring peace and joy to everyone around her, allowing her clients an assured confidence that they are being taken care of. But when it is time for joy and laughter, she is heard throughout the office bringing a smile that stretches from ear to ear.
At the end of the day, Hollie goes home to her husband, Craig (whom she married in 1984), and their attention hungry cat, Madison. She has 2 children, Jennifer and Chad. Jennifer and her husband, Luke live in Orange County but often visit for their photography business. Chad and his wife, Amy, live in Texas, where they are both engineers. Hollie enjoys spending time with her family, liking, and spending time in the sun.

Richard Mangus is a Certified Public Accountant at AMS Tax Service, Inc., a family owned tax preparation, bookkeeping and payroll company that has been serving the Coachella Valley for 35 years. He provides tax consulting, planning and compliance services to small businesses and individuals.
After graduating from Point Loma Nazarene University, Richard began his career with RSM McGladrey in San Diego. He continued his education with San Diego State University where he earned his Master of Science in Accountancy. Richard moved back home to the Coachella Valley in 2007 where he lives with his beautiful bride, Allye, and their four children, Cameron, Chloe, Madelyn and Paige. They spend their free time together on the water, in the dirt playing baseball, or making each other laugh uncontrollably.
Sharon's main focus is client service. She assists clients with scheduling appointments, addressing their questions and any concerns that may arise. Sharon also does the processing of tax returns and handles our accounts receivable. Sharon has a passion for serving our clients and, since 2006, Sharon has been a qualified tax preparer certified by the California Tax Education Council (CTEC).
Sharon was born in St. Vincent and the Grenadines, a beautiful island chain nestled in the Eastern Caribbean. Sharon immigrated to the United States Virgin Islands in 1989 and later to the U.S. in 1991 by way of Atlanta, Georgia. She attended DeVry Institute of Technology, and later went on to work in the service industry for several years. In 2002 Sharon and her family moved to Indio, California, where she started working for AMS Tax Service, Inc. in 2003.
In her spare time, she loves spending time at home with her husband, Cary, and time away on their photography adventures. They have one daughter, Mekela, a graduate of Azusa Pacific University. Sharon also enjoys walking for exercise, as well as camping, hiking, and gardening. Above all, her greatest desire is serving the Lord.
