Founded by the Canadian Council of the Blind (CCB) which was established in 1944, Apogee is a share capital (for profit) corporation incorporated to actively participate in various sectors of the marketplace to make a profit which is then directed at programs with persons with disabilities. At the same time, Apogee offers training to disabled persons with these projects, and in the immediate future, create a training facility for employment and self-employment for persons with disabilities including veterans in Canada and the United States... Under the label Blind Ambition and Design™, Apogee offers quality, Canadian made casual apparel such as hats, hoodies, shirts and toques.
