GB is an alternative gallery space influenced by a sensibility for design and the architecture firm with which it shares 3,500 square feet. Under new direction, GB aims to be on the leading edge of Boston's fine art venues. In January, 1999, Gallery Bershad opened as a new venue for the display of vanguard art in Somerville, a community known for its artistic vitality. Gallery Bershad is an outgrowth of the historic Provincetown Group Gallery and is affiliated with the respected Boston architecture firm Bershad Design Associates.
