Angela C. Hayes is the VP of Deposit Operations and System Administrator at Arundel Federal Savings Bank. Angie has been in the banking industry since 1979 and joined Arundel Federal in 1993 as the Teller Coordinator of the Pasadena branch. In 2006 she accepted a position in Branch Administration as the Teller/New Account software specialist. Over the years her position expanded to include managing and developing Arundel Federal's eBanking services, CORE processing, branch automation and deposit operations.

Dana Eckert

Dana Eckert is the Branch Manager of the Annapolis office. Dana has been in the banking industry for 25+ years working in all aspects of the branch banking field. She is passionate about community banking most of all as community banking allows her to develop deep relationships with business and personal customers to provide them the right financial tools and products to meet their needs and goals. Dana is an active member of The Greater Severna Park and Arnold Chamber of Commerce, including Past President in 2011 and 2019. She was nominated as "Maryland Finest" in 2016 for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation as a top 5 fundraiser. When not working, Dana enjoys traveling and camping with her husband and dog Max, but she is most passionate about Maryland sports, especially The Baltimore Orioles and Ravens.

David L. Costello III

David L. Costello III (Dave) former President of Arundel Federal Savings Bank until 2019, has over 30 years of community bank experience in executive management, finance and operations. He currently provides consulting services for executive level accounting and finance projects. Dave is a CPA and began his career in public accounting with Ernst & Young. He earned a Master's in Business Administration from The University of Baltimore and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Florida State University. Dave is a Director for MBA Solutions, the for-profit subsidiary of the Maryland Bankers Association. He is active in Financial Executives International, an organization of senior financial executives, and has held various leadership positions in the Baltimore Chapter, including President of the Chapter in 2003. Dave previously served as the Board Chair of Roland Park Place, a 260 unit 501(c)(3) Continuing Care Retirement Community in the city of Baltimore from 2011 to 2013, having served as a board member from 2006 to 2013. Dave and his wife Robyn live in Baltimore County.

George J. Behr

Born and raised in Baltimore, George has over 50 plus years in the banking industry. He attended St. Mary's College Preparatory in North East, PA graduating in 1963. He received his A.A. degree from Baltimore Junior College and his Bachelor of Science degree in 1971 from the University of Baltimore. He received his CPA certificate in January 1978. He began his banking career in 1965 as mail boy, teller, junior accountant, and asst. department head of accounting at a large financial institution in Baltimore. During his tenure at the above financial institution he became involved with the Banker's Insurance Softball (fast pitch) league - becoming President in 1978 and in 1980, was inducted into their Hall of Fame. His career at Arundel Federal began as Controller on January 19, 1981 (the day before our hostages were released from Iran). During his career at Arundel he became involved with various banking associations. He progressed through various "chairs" of the Maryland Chapter Financial Managers Society. In 1990 he was elected to the National Board of Directors of the Financial Managers Society where he served from 1990 - 1995. He served on the Maryland Banker's Association's board from 2008 - 2015. He also served on the Independent Community Banker's as a Federal Delegate from 2012 - 2015. At Arundel Federal, various promotions lead him to Vice President, Senior Vice President, and in June of 1997 became President and Chief Executive Officer where he served in that capacity until his retirement in May 2015. In 2011 he was awarded with the North Anne Arundel County's Chamber of Commerce President Legacy Award. As a current Board member his duties include Vice-Chair of the Audit Committee, member of the Personnel Committee, and a Trustee of the Profit-Sharing Plan. Currently, he is the Treasurer of the non-profit North Anne Arundel Chamber of Commerce Foundation. He is also the Treasurer of St. Gerard Young Men's Association, a non-profit organization. He is the Financial Secretary of the Knights of Columbus (Dundalk, Council) and is an officer of the Christopher Columbus Assembly. In retirement, George enjoys traveling with his spouse, Sandy, of 49 years, spending time with his two adult children, and his 2 grandsons. He enjoys reading novels, listening to classical music, watching sports with friends, and playing golf. His famous quote is from Shakespeare's Hamlet, "to thine own self be true." His accomplishments at Arundel Federal are two-fold; first was to weather the financial crisis in the 1980's and the mortgage crisis in 2008. Second was to serve as President as AFSB celebrated their 100-year anniversary in 2006. He has often stated the Arundel Federal employees are the "oil that runs the engine."

John A. Giovanazi

John is Senior Vice President and head of the Commercial Real Estate Lending Department at Arundel Federal. John has 35 years of commercial banking experience, with nearly a decade spent as Chief Lending Officer of several Maryland community banks. A native of Maryland, John received his Bachelor of Science degree from Towson University, and graduated from the Florida Bankers Association School of Commercial Lending. He resides in Bel Air with his wife and daughter.

John Marzullo - CFO, SVP

John Marzullo joined Arundel Federal in February 2020 as the Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. His primary responsibilities include accounting, budget and audit oversight; financial risk management; working with senior management to implement strategic planning; overview of monthly and quarterly financial and regulatory reporting; and managing the bank's investment portfolio. His fine-tuned conservative approach is well aligned with Arundel Federal Savings Bank. He graduated with honors (Magna Cum Laude) from Towson University, receiving a bachelor's degree in finance in 1994 and a bachelor's degree in accounting in 1996. He is an active member of the Maryland Association of CPAs and the American Institute of CPAs, which allows him to stay at the forefront of accounting and banking trends. He's a married father of three children residing in Harford County, and a life-long soccer player.

Margaret E. Henry

Margaret E. Henry is the Senior Vice President Branch Administrator and Security Officer. She has been with Arundel Federal Savings Bank since June 1980. She opened her first savings account with Arundel Federal when she was 14 years old. Starting out as a teller in the Brooklyn branch, she has worked in most every role throughout her career with the institution which has given her the opportunity to meet and know several generations of customers and their families. She now oversees five branches and their teams as well as the Administrative back office responsibilities such as Deposit Operations/Systems Administration, IRA Department, and works closely with all other departments including Accounting, Marketing, Loan Services, and Risk/Compliance/BSA areas as well as managing the banks facilities operations. She loves the team collaboration and the open communication within the bank. She studied at Anne Arundel Co. Community College and Catonsville Community College. Margaret grew up in the Brooklyn area and now resides in Anne Arundel Co. When away from the office, she spends time with an ever-growing family which includes twelve beautiful and smart grandchildren, her four step children, her husband and her two mini-schnauzers. Pamela G. Beidle

Pamela Beidle (Pam) grew up in Glen Burnie and is a graduate of Anne Arundel Community College and Towson University. She was President of Beidle Insurance from 1979 until its sale in 2017. She is the managing partner of Glen Oak Professional Center LLC. Pam served on the County Council from 1998 to 2006 and the House of Delegates from 2006 to 2018. She currently serves as the Senator representing District 32. She is a member of the Senate Finance Committee and is Vice-Chair of the Senate Executive Nominations Committee. Pam has been an active member of the community her entire career. Her memberships include: The Northern Anne Arundel County Chamber (NAACCC) for 40 years, the Central Maryland Chamber and the Fort Meade Community Covenant. She has earned numerous awards for her work in the community: NAACCC Presidents Award 2003 and 2013; Leadership Anne Arundel Volunteer Award 2012; Athena Award 2008; Nationwide Insurance Corporate Service Award 1997; Leadership Anne Arundel Distinguished Alumni Award 1998 and the Fannie Lou Hamer Award 2002. R. Bruce Jones (Bruce) grew up in Severna Park's Round Bay Community where he attended public schools. Upon graduating from Severna Park High School, he attended the University of Baltimore receiving a degree in Business Administration. He is also a licensed real estate broker. Bruce is currently the President of The Belle Grove Corporation. A position he's held for the past 25 years. A family-owned business, Belle Grove Corporation has been in the land development and construction business primarily in Anne Arundel County having developed sub-divisions within the county over the past 79 years. The company also operates two sand/gravel/reclamation operations in the county. Bruce's involvement with Arundel Federal happened by way of his grandfather: C. Braddock Jones, Sr., founder of The Cedar Building & Loan Association in Brooklyn Park. In 1982 Cedar merged into Arundel Federal and Bruce started serving on the Board of Directors. He presently serves as Chairman of the Personnel Committee. Bruce lives in Annapolis with his wife of 52 years, Danna. They have two grown sons. When not working, he can be found outside boating, playing tennis or traveling.

Valerie S. Polyniak - President

Valerie S. Polyniak (Val) grew up and attended elementary and middle schools in Brooklyn until transferring to and graduating from Martin Spalding High School in Severn. A high achiever in school, upon graduation she received two awards: ‘Highest Average Business Student' and ‘Excellence in Business Education'. Summers spent working full-time with McCully Funeral Home in Brooklyn; managing all clerical work and assisting in all visitations and services, led her to her chosen profession. After graduating from Maryland's Mortuary Science College, she took State and National exams for licensing as a Mortician in October 1975 (she was the only woman to take exams) and then went on to become the youngest female funeral director in Maryland. She continued to for work McCully until she and her husband John purchased the business in 1994, which at the time were three locations: South Baltimore, Brooklyn and Pasadena, making it McCully-Polyniak Funeral Homes, P.A. Together, as best friends working side-by-side, they ran the business until John's unexpected passing in 2018. Today, Val is the Owner/President/Supervising Mortician of McCully-Polyniak Funeral Home in Pasadena. The business will be 116 years old in the Spring. Started in 1904 by I. Few McCully, father of former owner, James McCully, Val's uncle. The business is well-known for it's support of local charitable causes and events. She is a member of the Pasadena Business Association and a 2013 recipient of the YWCA's TWIN Award which recognizes the accomplishments and contributions of successful, professional women.

Victor A. Pyles, III

A true Maryland native, Victor A. Pyles III (Vic) was born in Baltimore and has lived in Maryland all his life. A graduate of McDonogh School and the University of Baltimore, Vic received his degree in Accounting then worked in construction building small commercial properties and residential dwellings for the next several years. He later received a Senior Residential Appraiser (SRA) designation followed by his license while working as an independent fee appraiser until retiring in 2006. His clients included numerous mortgage bankers, community banks, the Federal Housing Authority (FHA) and the Veterans Administration (VA). Previous and current memberships include: Society of Real Estate Appraisers, American Institute of Real Estate Appraisers, Maryland Bankers Association, and the Independent Community Bankers Association.
